Python is a very high level language and much safer and easier to use but it's very limited in comparison to C++
high and low in programming lang sense is how far you are from the hardware
low level langs talk directly or close as possible to hardware
high level langs need to be translated before they can communicate to the level below them which include multiple levels

What server side programming language would be the best to invest time into learning? The two largest ones that I know, Javascript and PHP, get bitched about constantly. There's the "muh made in 10 days" for Javascript and I've heard PHP is a nightmare. What would you recommend learning and implementing in a personal project?
