can I use Emacs instead of IDE? I like Emacs because I write other stuff in it(not programming) and I really am getting used to it. Would I be a huge edgelord if I used Emacs instead of an IDE? Would people not understand my love for Emacs and not want to work with me because of it?

What IT certs do you have? What were your firsts and what did it put you in? As for me, I have my ITIL, A+ and am retaking Network+ and Security+ the goal is to get into entry level (45k-65k) then going higher from there. I'm 28 w no IT work experience.

Hello, IT rookie here. I live alone in an apartment. I only have my desktop and android phone connected to my router. I turned off my wireless, but there still appears to be a linux machine connected to my network.

Can anyone help me figure out how to identify this mysterious network client?

Is the NSA after me? Hackers?

Note** I tend to piss people off, it just comes naturally to me and I don't even realize I'm doing it. Not joking at all. But now I'm feeling quite paranoid. I don't think I've pissed anyone off to the extent that they would hack my network. But if they did, my banking, and other sensitive data could be compromised because I don't really do anything to protect myself. Luckily the bank accounts I manage online don't have much money in them. But I'm not too keen on having my other data exposed.
