>May 5th 2017, WikiLeaks publishes "Archimedes", a tool used by the CIA to attack a computer inside a Local Area Network (LAN), usually used in offices. It allows the re-directing of traffic from the target computer inside the LAN through a computer infected with this malware and controlled by the CIA. This technique is used by the CIA to redirect the target's computers web browser to an exploitation server while appearing as a normal browsing session.

>The document illustrates a type of attack within a "protected environment" as the the tool is deployed into an existing local network abusing existing machines to bring targeted computers under control and allowing further exploitation and abuse.

In short: Microsoft has an unsandboxed JavaScript interpreter running as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM since Windows 8 (and Windows 7/Vista if you use Microsoft Security Essentials) that automatically scans network traffic and disk activity. Just browsing a page or receiving a mail (not even opening it) is enough to get pwned.

This is not a joke. Tavis Ormandy has described it as "the worst Windows remote code exec in recent memory". Microsoft has issued an emergency patch: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/security/4022344

What does /g/ think about this DELL Latitude 11.

-Windows 10 64-bit Professional edition
-Intel M5 CPU
-4GB of RAM - upgradable to 16GB
-128 GB SSD - removable and upgradable to whatever as long as its M2
-1080p screen IPS
-10 hours battery life upgradable
-shock resistant/drop resistant military MIL-STD grade

Cons:
-its fuk hueg
-ugly not like iPad
-worst screen than iPad
-Windows 10 and not iOS so limited software library, that being said it runs things I like like CCCP, utorrent and all x86/x64 software

$250

What do you think this or pay about $150 more for an iPad 2017 in 128GB? This is mainly for fapping in the bathroom and/or downloading anime/movies.

Been a solid month without internet (since April 3rd). Ordered nbn with iiNet and it's all set up but nbn fucking doesn't want to activate it. They've given no fucking excuse other than 'were dealing with an internal error'. I'm about to lose my fucking mind. I've missed due dates and work on assignments because I don't have any fucking net. It's also boring as all hell and I'm going to fucking kill someone if iiNet tells me they're waiting on nbn to give another update. Any idea what I can do? Connection types HFC because nbn co loves it's fucking money.
