if you want the typical Japanese phone, you're getting a carrier-locked iPhone. except you're not because you have a tourist visa and you need a residency permit to open an account, even a paygo account.
if you want ~nippon-damashii design~ just order an xperia or an aquos when you get home. i know you think you'd be getting a good deal over there because the yen is in the toilet, but the problem is, carrier lockin in so hardcore in japan that odds are the xperia you'll buy was imported from the us to begin with anyway.

What's the best and cheapest no-nonsense TV? I don't care about Smart TV or 4k, I just want a full HD TV with a good price, 32 - 52 inch preferably. Will be used for both console gaming and as a monitor for watching stuff.

Is COM Surrogate a trojan or not?
I tried to search but I get a lot of directly contradicting answers. Is this some sort of variation of "delete system32" joke? I see people saying it's just a one procedure of windows but I also see people saying it's a dangerous trojan.
I didn't want to shame myself making this thread but /g/ you're my hope.

Why do people feel compelled to upgrade hardware?
If you buy a computer or a phone and it's fast today, it doesn't mean it won't be fast 5 years later. It just means there will be faster computers and phones.
I am suspicious by default about hardware discussion on /g/. I think it's 95% gamers, who should really go to >>>/v/
If you use the correct software, there's no reason why a 10 year old computer still isn't perfectly fine today.
