Android emulators take a lot of ram, take long time to launch if you don't have an high-end ssd, and need a cpu handling virtualization well.

Windows 7 will still be usable for the rest of this decade and most likely into 2030 if you use patches from the POS versions which are going to be supported for god knows how long

Looking for advice on a bluetooth speaker purchase.
Im looking at pic related, but naturally im nervous about dropping 500 on a speaker. I dont mind doing so however if the sound quality is that good. And this one has pretty good battery life. I also saw really good things about the jbl xtreme which is about half the cost but i couldnt really find anything comparing the two, i tried.
Any other speakers in the 300-500 that would be worth checking out? My research seemed to tell me these were the two best in the range but at opposite ends of the range so idk.

Why do you use gentoo, /g/?
I personally love the slot system and the ability to keep openrc. Portage is very good at keeping the system running and stable, the compile times for your average package is a few minutes.
What's not to love /g/?

It's simple to read and write, and has a large community behind it. It's a beautiful language honestly, that's why I have high hopes for crystal.
The downsides are performance basically, you can get around that slightly with jruby but for web other languages seem to better handle concurrency.
