What was Soviet computer technology like during the cold war compared to the west?
>>60412333
They just copied American technology. It's really aesthetic some of it but it was literally just reverse engineered American tech.
I've also been looking for some old soviet science books as they apparently taught marxist thought together with physics, chemistry and mathematics. It's very interesting.
>trying to achieve an utopia through terror
VERY good ideas there lad
>>60412333
Well they made Tetris so that's something...

Hey /g/, do you know any cool projects on github where beginners might be able to contribute? Of course there's thousands of them, but I'm looking for interesting projects. Are there any cool projects you contribute to?
inb4 nyaaa, I'm sick of the pantsu vs si debate.
The Linux kernel is not too difficult to contribute to.
Find a device that's poorly supported. Write a driver.
That's impossible to answer without knowing what you're interested in and what you can do. Maybe try improving some software you're using yourself already.

I do, I just want to find some small projects I can do with Ruby.
>>60411218
I don't have to know it. I can program, using Ruby isn't hard, I just need to look up syntax while using it for something.

Who's the least?
the most is that fat neckbeard with glasses, forgot his name.
Wendell from Level1Techs is without a doubt the most knowledgeable I've seen. The least is probably Austin Evans, that dude is as retarded as he is ugly.

What is the difference between C, C# and C++?
>>60410267
here's a similarity: they are all inferior to python.
just ignore c#, it's M$'s way of trying to butt in the C world.
focus on C, then move to C++
C frequency is 16.35Hz
C# frequency is 17.32Hz
C++ is some abomination
