Buy low/midrange or cheap chinkshit, problem solved.
Fingerprint scanner on the back is the patricians choice.
>>60584466
>use Android on a pajeet phone
Yeah that's the solution for sure. I'm sure I can also get used to squatting outside and riding 1990s motorbikes with flip flops. You fucking low class cretin.
How will tools like phonegap effect the future of programming? Would you recommend that people still try to get into the industry or would you steer them away from it as a career path?
>>60584401
so it lets you make a web page, and call it an app?

hybrid apps are the future.
The problem is apple with their gay ass slow webView components.

Has anyone considered, Do we really need ISP's anymore ?
Wifi adapters can now send and receive up to and possible passed 10km.
A P2P internet across the world. with no ISP's. understandable some place would still require ISP's when really thinking about it. I am unsure, If we could cover most users that currently uses the internet via an ISP,
it would need a lot of users to take it out for it even to get off the drawing board but that's not the question i am asking,
What do you think of it ?
>>60584139
Imagine if some idiot got a virus that managed to spread through a P2P network.
Next.
>>60584538
Imagine that wi****ws10 use p2p 4 updates.

Are you versed in technical jargon? Research a bit on GNUnet, their plan is to replace the current web with something more decentralized. Sadly their first goal is just filesharing when they should be focusing in other services.
Any of you who have worked for repair shops/other tech jobs; How safe is my data with you? If I bring my laptop in for repair, are you gonna go through all of my files? Pic unrelated
No, why the fuck would we do that?
I don't know about other shops, but we'd prefer to stay in business.
why do you need to take your computer somewhere? just do it yourself
yes I do work in a repair shop; yes we do steal your information. I think the worst I have done was taken a few bitcoins from someone's wallet way back when it was new
Depends. I don't care enough to go through each file. If I need to copy data I just más copy all the folders and make sure the file sizes match.
Thoughts on Codecademy?
Shit tier wrote learning for pajeets
>>60583766
Currently "learning" python on it. I do not like it that much, considering just reading it out of a book.
>>60583766
it's good if you want to get familiar with the syntax but you should be learning from other places as well

No it's literally not.
This is a fake picture made to show an extreme example of what the internet COULD be like without net neutrality. Now I in NO way think we should get rid of net neutrality, but Verizon does NOT fuck you over with internet like this picture implies.
I pay under $100 a month for 1gbps with a 10TB soft data cap.
/g/, I found this mint Asus PDA running PocketPC 2003. Is there anything fun I can do with it aside from installing gentoo?
I was thinking of using it as a pocket terminal since it's got a CF to serial port adapter in it, but the battery doesn't hold charge ;_;

If the battery is dead there's probably not much you can do. Most of the batteries for those things would be either super expensive or DOA. Probably could hack one from a phone battery depending on the technology used inthe battery.
>>60583463
well, the battery is stuck to the back with some really evil glue, and has a shit ton of wires going to it, so there's likely some custom controller in it there and I don't think I can nigger-rig something using phone or RC vehicle batteries.
I've tried multiple distros and video players, it's present in all of them while watching movies.

CPUs:
>G4560 - budget builds (<$500) unless G4620/i3-7100 is heavily discounted
>R5 1500x - generally all you need for 60fps with power to spare. No i5
>R5 1600 - best value for higher fps gaming & mixed usage; 1600x if you don't want to OC
>i7-7700k - bad value but good; may have heat issues even at stock clocks
>R7/Xeon - compute/Multitask/mixed use

>RX580 8GB - 1440p@60+hz, inject SMAA & drop settings for some games
>1060 - Generally outperformed by the RX 580 and GSync costs more; consider only if AMD is not an option (ie CUDA)
>1070 - 1080p@144hz/1440p@100+hz
>1080 - 1080p@90-144+hz maxed; 1440p at lower hz.

So I can ONLY use the 3200 memory listed for this board? I can't buy something else off of newegg? Will there be later bios updates?
Is updating bios safe?
Is there any point to buy 16gb ram for a G4560 build?

Being able to re-define the language within itself is pretty neat. That's about it.
I guess it is easier to write bug-free(er) big programms in Haskell, right?
>>60582965
It's also a very simple language and very easy to parse because it's practically just like writing syntax trees directly.
