Is there a reason that magnet link hosts arent decentralized like the magnet link itself is?
e.g. Why is there not a mesh of servers all sharing torrent databases with regular refreshes that everybody with the tracker[s] can connect to, to prevent single point of failures like kickass and others lately have experience?

I've heard of proof of concept stuff, but I think they're a tad heavy and unreliable when they go decentralized

Considering AMD is responding with a 16c/32t chip for less than half that that gives more than that $2000 piece of shit, yes.

Dying? No. But they will lose market share. Any company that sits on their ass in a fast moving tech market will.

Do you guys thinks it's safe to hack an gmail account using Hydra from Linux and a basic ass VPN ( from apt-get install) ? I'm asking this as an unexperienced idiot really, just asking out of curiosity

no. now delete your thread
>>
>>60702444
Can you elaborate why not ? i'm really just curious , sorry if it's much of a bother
>>
after about 10 failed attempts google will make you fill out a captcha before you can submit the password. Also if you make too many attempts too quick you get a temp block. so no, you cannot realistically hack a gmail account using hydra.

I know /g/ is not my personal tech support,ut i just need a quick help.
So, i installed Kaspersky internet security after the testversion of the preinstalled Bullguard software from my new computer expired. But now it doesn't let me access sites like google or youtube anymore saying; "the connection to this website isn't secure" (see screenshot). I just had to disable Kaspersky to even allow captchas being shown.I know google are pieces of shit who gather my private data, but i obviously can't miss out on youtube. What do i have to do in the options of Kaspersky to make exceptions to access certain sites?

Whenever I read the phrase "data science" I always see it accompanied by its application to marketing, law enforcement, mass surveillance, or some other form of control exclusively done against entire populations of innocent people.

Is Data Science all evil? Is its sole purpose to help public and private authorities to subjugate the masses?

As baity as this may read, I genuinely do not see the benefit of Data Science to anyone other a a miniscule number of power hungry sociopaths (some of which are paving history's largest road to hell with their good intentions).

I mean it's certainly possible to do things like conduct novel medical research by finding patterns in vast sets of epidemiological data. And no tool is inherently evil. Guns don't kill people, people kill people, and all that. But you're right that most of the obvious applications of it are malicious. I'd put facial recognition in the same category.
>>
>>60702334
That's why I said "net evil" as opposed to evil. Net evil implies there's some good uses but they are overshadowed by the bad.
>>
I remember one anon feeling completely disillusioned with data science after he studied statistics and went on to work for a health insurance firm where he used his expertise to write complicated algorithms to find all the unprofitable patients with health histories that match those of the terminally ill and simply cut them off because they're not profitable to to keep alive.

At 329, is it really that bad of a deal any more? My laptop is on its last legs, and while I have a great desktop, I've been considering using a tablet for note taking in classes. Is there anything I'm overlooking here?

>>
>tablet
>note taking
You're overlooking how incredibly painful, awkward and unpleasant that will be; even with a "keyboard" (read: chiclet mat)
>>
>>60701751
A normal tablet will not reject your palm.
You need one that is specific for that, IE ipad pro or samsung with pen

>>60701751
