I hope you're backing up your data. Someone's backing it up. It ain't you.
i don't backup data. i grew up a punk rocker, and even though i'm currently working in IT and know a thing or two about computers, you can say my rebellious streak stuck with me. i like living on the wildside, and i get laid fairly regularly when i tell women i don't care about backing up my data.

There were two, three funny sketches at most. And he was only in one of those three.
That's s fact.
When getting into programming my motivation came from internet anonymity. Then I got busy with other things and now getting back into it over the summer my drive to make projects that focus around that faded away.
The idea was simple an simple, secure, anonymous file sharing website. But with that already done to death, and I have no ideas on how to improve on this kind of surface I kind of ran out of a reason to program.
I'm still a beginner, and would love to program. Should I continue with the project? Is there anything wrong with internet file sharing sites that could be fixed or improved on?
Any ideas of other projects? And what motivates you to program?
>>60715803
I don't know about file sharing, but most of the projects I respect including Linux began by their creators to scratch an itch they had, so if their is anything you are not satisfied with and would like to improve it that is your project, no matter how small or insignificant.
Paul Graham had this great paper about what is a good idea for a startup and it all boils down to solve a problem that you have, and don't forget that opportunities come in the guise of hard work.
>>60715911
Well, something that has been bothering me, but put to the side because everyone says on how huge the project is, is making my own browser. Should I go with that?
>>60716055
Adding on to that, browsers like Firefox, Chrome, and even Safari are written in C++. A language I don't know, but something I'm willing to do. Just wondering is it really that hard?
Hi /g, I'm interested in learning about (and programming) A.I., general purpose and deep learning mostly, where should I begin?
>>60715254
Calculus through Linear Algebra.
python, tenserflow and lots of reading would be a good start
>>60715272
Already did that stuff
>INB4 You probably didn't learn it enough
By following this logic I would never be over with it
Why doesn't Intel just make the die bigger and stronger and leave out the IHS altogether?
>>60715171
Yeah, sure 32nm tech is dirt cheap to make now.
>>60715171
Can Jews just stop being Jews? --op
Surely a few felt feet is cheaper than an IHS. And they can make more money from retards cracking their dies.

why not a case?
why wouldn't it be?

In a pefect world yes. But some bug might just scoot along and decide he is tired of life and fries something along with himself.
>tfw upgraded my x220 from 4gb of ram to 16gb of ram and a regular slow hdd to a ssd
its like a brand new computer
>>60715036
SSDs are pretty amazing. Even big pieces of shit feel like new. I put SSDs in everything.
>>60715036
The ram didn't do anything, I stuck with 2GB ram for a long time and it was an SSD upgrade that made everything more snappy.
You can't even feel the swap thrashing.

Is this the most significant book of our time?
My University teaches Algorithms and Data Structures to ALL science and engineering students. Even fucking biology students have to take the course using this book.
Also three of the four authors happen to be Jews. Pure coincidence I guess.
so we need to reject the knowledge held in the book to avoid jewish subversion
>>60714655
No, this book is more rigorous than CLRS
>>60714655
Its a good book overall, but no.
That said this should have full implementation in every language's standard library.

I'm going to back the unstable overclocks theory. I had been overclocking my R7 1700 to 3.95 GHz, but after an hour or so, it would crash while doing compile jobs. Now I am running at 3.9 GHz and it runs all day everyday no problem, no instability.

Worth it if you want to maintain legacy systems in the future. Kinda like those COBOL guys who get paid 20k a week.
