Alright fa/g/ots, time to see which one is superior.
Here's the poll: http://www.strawpoll.me/13144200
>>60816858
Tabs don't have to mean 4 spaces, you do know that right?
That's why they're superior. You can configure how many "spaces" a tab is.
>>60816858
tabs that make spaces

Why is Google so successful despite hiring so much tranny filth
AdWords is literally a machine in the basement that prints money.
They could hire 500 trannies at 200K a year with full benefits to do nothing but shove dildos in each other's ass and it wouldn't even come up as a rounding error on their books.
>>60816835
>They could hire 500 trannies at 200K a year with full benefits to do nothing but shove dildos in each other's ass
That's actually what they do at Google.
they hired m00t
everything will go smoothly from now on :)

If you consider Windows Vista outdated, any Windows version after Vista is pretty much the vista kernel with shittons of bullshit stacked on top of it and new UIs
Hey /g/, I was pointed towarsa this place from a /v/ thread. Without suggesting lowspec gamer, can I play skyrim?
Specs:
AMD E1-1200 Dual Core 1.4ghz
AMD Radeon HD 7130 256mb integrated graphics
8gb RAM
>>60816416
Yes, you will be able to play but not smoothly because of your processor and your graphics card.
>>60816416
You got trolled
Get the fuck out of here fast
Here's another helpful pointer.

Old thread: >>60808860
What are you working on, /g/?
Eheeh
Anyone else here get a sinking feeling in your stomach when you think about programming? School has ruined it for me.
>>60816329
You need to program in fun programming languages, like C.
Programming in code-monkey tier langauges like Java kills all semblance of enjoyment.
How often do you study and for what duration?
>>60816183
Everyday all day. Formal work is for the forfeited man.
>>60816183
If you need to study for anything you're retarded.
>>60816249
Sum the primes below 2 million then, right now.
Amazon Prime preferred, under $30.
good timing this is the result of my extensive research

Too advance for me
>>60816152
Seriously though, when I was a kiddie I spent so much time just fucking around with my snap circuits kit. It was fucking addictive.
I remember when I found a germanium diode and managed to get a crystal radio working after an entire day of fiddling with the circuit and climbing trees so that I could get the highest antenna possible.
So it appears that Arch has dropped (or in the process of dropping) support for 32bit machines, does this also mean that distros based on Arch (like Manjaro) will also drop support for 32bit machines eventually?
/g/ - Tech Support
>>60816081
probably, unless that particular distro has a very dedicated community or subgroup that needs 32bit support for a serious project, and even then it's iffy
can someone explain to me why we should keep support for 64bit, why haven't everyone moved on?
I haven't had a 32bit system in a decade
What data do you keep on your flash drive on your key chain?
NICE TRY NSA
obviously not cp if that's what you are asking
>>60816005
All of this so far.
Can't really think of other things.
Which side of this issue do you stand on? Is language fluid and ever-changing, thus making "Linux" a valid term to describe the whole OS? Or is Stallman right in that the words we use to describe things can be super important and emphasising the wrong things can lead to people holding misconceptions?
Bonus round: If Stallman didn't want people to misconstrue "free" software as being like "free beer" (as opposed to like "free speech"), why didn't he name it the Software Freedom Foundation?
inb4 "LiGNUx"
I tend to use Linux, Ubuntu, or Gnome in general spoken conversation when referring to what I use.
When I want to be more specific in technical conversations I'll use 'GNU/Linux', or 'the Linux kernel'.
>>60815988
Really it is GNU and you should realize that Linux is such a shit name for the operating system that was made by people like Stallman at MIT for the purpose of not cucking the living fuck out of average people who use a computer
I'm talking about all those 35 year old utilities. That's what makes it Gnu.
Linux irl.
GNU+Linux on /g/ to avoid triggering the copypaste.
Look guys, I'm trying to understand how the fuck mechanics and hydraulics work. I get the basics but I cant be sure of myself about how a turbshaft engine's torque is made or distributed. I think layers of compression fans draw air into the compression chamber where is fed into the combustion chamber where fuel is expended to heat the compressed air coming in. That heated compressed air is now run through more compression/turbine fans that have a shaft attached to them and create the actual movement to a shaft that gets dets distrubted throughout an aircrafts mechanical system to power rotors and generators.
But what powers the initial compression fans that draw air in? Is it just the apu spinning them with electromagnetic gearboxes? Or is it just a pneumatic start using cross bled air pressure from an aux power unit? Im sure either works but how does it work for the T700-GE-401C engine? ( h60 front driven turbo shaft engine). How is the direction of torque on a shaft changed? Some kind of gear box translation?
Man, I hate mechanical shit, but I want to know it for my job. An avation electrical tech on heilos for the us navy just trying to understand the rest of the aircraft better.
Alsi fuck electromagnetic gearboxes, I don't know what the fuck a stator is.
>pic is of t700-ge-401c front driven turboshaft engie 1800 hp.

>>60815918
>Chinese USB devices
I bet some of them have malicious firmware embedded. And when you connect them, you give them full access to your system (just how you can plug in a keyboard and it just works, so can any malicious firmware exploit this).
