That being said I was on an escalator with some old fart in shorts, t-shirt and baseball cap who was wearing a gold aquanaut. Dressed like shit, but he wandered into a vertu (lmao) store to what I assume was his family and they were buying something.
But this is Asia. Watches are important totems to signify status; wearing work out sweatpants and what looks like a freebie t-shirt whilst you rock a $50,000 psuedo sports watch is a common enough sight: rich people on holiday, wearing comfycore with a little king's ransom on their wrist.

The 2254.50 is the last good looking semenmaster, but its price is climbing because of this. The blue wavy Brosnan sm can be had for cheap.
Still a chinese made swatch though, so be sure to buy cheap.

I used to use xfce for lower end machines and Gnome for my main desktop... but now I just realized there's no point in using anything other than xfce in any situation.
Xfce is lightweight enough to run on shit machines, but has enough features to be used as desktop
it's literally perfect in every aspect
I don't understand why this is not the universal default for all Linux

I am currently using atom and am frankly fed up with it; it is buggy and slow as hell - I waste more time fucking with it instead my actual code.
I had a look at eclipse, but the fact that I had to create a "project" instead of just, y'know, opening files from a file tree that is already there screams bloat of death of doom. Noped out of there.
Vim/emacs is fine for people who started coding in the 80's, where everything was slower and people had time to learn over 9000 commands just to use the editor. Today we have the computer mouse and the limiting factor of my coding speed is not the input anyways.
What does /g/ recommend? (usable well on linux)

In Eclipse, you just import an existing Makefile project literally like every other IDE.
