This is a general HTTP security thread for anyone willing to discuss, help newbies or learn more about HTTP security in general.
Who among you running your own Web server? Do you secure your traffic with TLS and HTTP security headers? Do you enforce a secure connection using HSTS [1]? Do you ensure that user agents pin your server's public certificate with HPKP [2]? Do you enforce content restrictions with CSP [3]?
The following websites help you check your server security:
https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/index.html
https://observatory.mozilla.org/
https://securityheaders.io/
Or you can do a basic check yourself using the following tools:
sslscan
sslyze
observatory-cli

Use HTTPS

You're still using HTTP with HTTPS, anon. HTTPS is merely HTTP over an encrypted connection.

I have zero motivation in learning excel via tutorials or classes. Are there opportunities to do Excel work remotely, or at the very least take up a personal project, any ideas?

pajeets lie on resumes?
I've got the impression that /g/ hates pajeets and what they have done to the teck industry. Can somebody elaborate? I just graduated and got my first rejection for a job application because I don't have 19 years experience and 43 certifications.
What, pajeets just lie about this shit and get the jobs? is that the deal?
>>60754014
Yes they also suck cock and work for less money than you with no chance that they would leave because they "dislike" job. they happy for any
>>60754014
no, "pajeets" actually spend their free time doing courses and getting work experience by volunteering instead of jerking off to anime girls and playing videogames.
I think thats the more reasonable explanation.
boohoo you got rejected, Welcome to the real world retard, your gonna get more rejections than actual offers. Thats how life work

How will Intel anwser threadripper given the massive price to performance advantage it has compared to Inlel?
>>60753795
By slashing prices of some rebadged Xeons.
>>60753812
This. Do you know what Intel's profit margins are OP?
And AMD will likely Jew to the point where Intel doesn't have to do much of anything like they did with Ryzen.
>>60753812
So how does that help intel beat AMDs massive I/O throughput (RAM and PCIe slots), and intels rapidly increasing power ineficiencies?
Are internet security programs like McAfee or Norton necessary for people who avoid sketchy websites?
asking for a friend.
Absolutely.
>>60753998
not
those programs just slow your computer down doing needless disk scans and can do nothing against a program that you personally download and install.
use Common Sense 2017, Malwarebytes and MS Security Essentials/Win. Defender.
problem solved.

5g WiFi sucks a bit but that tech is shit anyway.
Bootloader can be unlocked via Xaiomi, and there are a few roms out there for it. My pick is resurrection remix.
Wouldn't stick with MIUI unless you're content watching lots of traffic travelling to China...
Say you are a developer for a game that has around 50,000 people playing it on average at all times. What's your server like? What are its specs? You have to keep it under $3k. Price includes racks, cables, power filtering, etc.
>>60752501
Motherfucker, what?
I could spend $3,000 on a Rack, Cabling, and Power Filtering alone. You'd be better off just laying the servers on the ground than trying to take care of that shit in that price range.
If you mean $3,000 for the server hardware alone, and just fail at english, you're still not asking for anything reasonable. If the program the server is running is only capable of handling a few threads at a time, like a Python-based score-server that can only handle, like, 4 threads at a time, then you could run it on a fucking Desktop i5 and get about as much raw performance as any server in that price range.
Honestly, for $3k, you're better off virtualizing with Amazon or Rackspace or somebody, and getting in on pricing based on resources used. You're getting free backups, DDoS protection, static IPs, and more when you virtualize with most groups.
>>60752562
Sure, fair enough. But let's meet in the middle here, how much would you spend on a server room that would host that many people playing an online game?
Can I just use AWS and not have to deal with the hardware?
Is this good for taking notes?
