Wizards assemble !
Advanced users of GNU/Linux (and I mean advanced), remember to try Source Mage GNU/Linux. True source-based distribution, and (in contrast with Gentoo and Arch) is:
Free from obfuscated and pre-configured code.
Fully committed to GPL, uses only free software (as in freedom) in their main package.
With even the documentation licensed as FDL.
Without 3rd party patches, sensible defaults or masked packages.
Doesn't need obfuscated python libraries, only bash.
Uses clean dependencies as they came from upstream developers, which by the same provides instant updates.
Can heal broken installs.
Can also use flags.
Do you like Arch Linux's AUR? Do you like Gentoo's portgage (or ports-like) package manager? With SMGL's "sorcery" you get all that. Making new spells (packages) not found in the grimoire (repository) is easy http://sourcemage.org/Spell/Book
Bash hackers welcome! Come and join http://sourcemage.org/

I would maybe consider trying this if the whole wizard theme was dropped. Makes it look like a 14 year old dnd nerd designed it.
I have the source code of a program that runs only on Android 4.0.3 or newer,...is it possible, with only the source code, to write the same app, but that works on Android 2.3.4 ?
>>60897222
*You* probably can't if you have to ask, but in general that should be possible for an decent programmer with sufficient time.
>>60897222
>program that runs only on Android 4.0.3
>with only the source code will it run on Android 2.3.4
according to how you worded you own question, no.
But, according to people who know what theyre talking about, yes. adjust the min sdk target.
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/6634330/are-android-apps-backwards-compatible
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4568267/android-min-sdk-version-vs-target-sdk-version
You'll have to adjust the min SDK target and you'll have to make sure that you don't use any API's above that of 2.3.4 . If you do, either pray there is a support library available for it, or just remove/rewrite it.
Do you use wireless mouse, keyboards or headphones?
Are they better than the ones with cable?
From my experience, I have used wireless mouse, keyboards and headphones in the past and at the end I have always returned to the ones with cable. Maybe was because I bought cheap products but I always got tired of the use of batteries, have to charge them or with problem with the conection.
Apple wireless master race

Nice bait
Here have your laggy device along with your drained batteries and dead soildered wireless adaptor
>>60897259
Apple is gay. Homosexuals were persecuted in the Nazi Germany. Apple is subhuman and has nothing to do with the master race.
How do I find out which of my whatsapp contacts has me in their phone book?
>>60896996
Ring them up and ask
You ask them I guess.
>>60897001
>>60897093
Without asking them. Theres alot of them and also some of them are girls I don't want finding out.
If you have any existing devices it is advised that you use this.
*Update includes expiremental AGPS support
*Replacement of the original ubuntustore with the openstore
*Security and bug fixes
There is also improvement with the halium project which could be used in the future to fix that pesky problem android based OSes have with updating and help any new opensource OS project that wants some hardware to stand on.
Discuss.
Not sure what to make from this
>>60897038
Ubuntu touch might not be important for you but the halium project is.
With it new projects will have an easier time porting their OS on more mobile devices
Ok
What about device compatibility

This meme is 11 years old.
/v/ here. With the paid mods making a resurgence I totally understand why you guys abdicate for free software so much now. People shouldn't be able to modify someone else's game (or any software for that matter) and make money off of it. Ideally the games should also be available for free, but we're not there yet.
My question is, what can be done about it? Can there be some DRM that prevents the mod from being downloaded if it detects that it was paid for? I don't know how that could be done, but maybe something that checks with Steam would be enough.
plzzzzz kill urself
Do something about it?
How about don't fucking buy any mods
/v/ is so fucking stupid.
>>60896987
There's more to it than just that. The main customer base for this is the console kiddies, as in the newer generation that grew up with microtransactions, and uses mommy and daddy's credit card to buy this shit. Unlike us they don't bat an eye to this type of scam and happily buy into the jew. With paid pc mods they're just throwing the mud at the wall to see if it sticks, because they've been targeting the consoles since the beginning.
My hair its on fire, no water source on sight, what do, you "smart" people.
Cut the hair off and throw it along with the fire.
Now fuck off.
>>60896692
Ask /g/.
Install Gentoo. By the time that's done the fire should have stopped.
If Linux is so powerful then why is it only used for data processing?
>>60896647
Linux is shit. Use windows 10 instead.
also, muh '''privacy''' is mere a meme. Don't fall for it. Nothing to fear, nothing to hide.
It's serious answer. No meme.
>>60896647
It is also used in programming.
>>60896670
I dont care about the privacy, i'm more mad about microsoft's malware hogging up the computer's resources for said privacy infringement.
/g/, can you explain something to me, because I don't think I understand this magic.
Say I have a book that's 5 inches wide.
Then say I scan that book in 600dpi.
Now, I have a 24 inch monitor and it's 1920x1080, which is standard.
So, that book page I just scanned was 5 inches wide. But here's the thing, looking at on my 24 inch monitor the image doesn't look stretches our or distorted even though the book is only 1/5th the size of my monitor's physical size.
Who exactly does this work?
>>60896554
Look at optical zooming
>>60896554
When you can scan a page at 600dpi (or insert another high number) and have no distortion visible in the image it means the printing process used put down as much or more detail on the paper as the scanner can capture. On the other hand, 1920x1080 on a 24" monitor is only 92 PPI, so the same scanned image viewed at full size will appear 6.52x the size of the original in this case due to the lower density.
>>60896554
reality is a higher resolution than your monitor.

What have pajeets done for IT, why the modern IT is infested by pajeets?
>>60896355
Pajeets are interested in php.
That's why.
>>60896379
They literally everywhere, in the comments to MIT's Facebook page, in the comments to MIT's lecture videos, in the comments to Google in LinkedIn. Open any social media somehow connected to IT, you definitely meet a pajeet. If they exist in the western IT in such copious amounts, why didn't they invented something groundbreaking still?
