I am using a raspberry pi and a dht22 sensor to control a humidifier. I need the sensor to be at the opposite end of the room.
how can I get accurate readings from 20ft away. I only have the small 4 inch connector cables to the gpio right now. Would I just need to buy some wire and solder it?
Id like to use the rPi instead of a humidistat because im tight on funds.

It has AN effect. You wouldn't be able to perceive it though.
Usb has a max length of 5/3 meters, you won't be able to tell the difference over them lengths.

Usually the problem with long USB cables is the voltage drop due to the thin wires.
Portable hard drives are the first USB devices to drop out on long cables.

I'm trying to copy some Old English text into MS Office Word 2007 and it doesn't support all the characters. In pic related you can see that "toᴁeanes" doesn't work. I can't even google this character, because it changes to that "ᴁ" thing. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix that so I wouldn't have to use Insert Special Character (I will have to deal with many such sentences, besides I don't even know in which category of characters this particular character might be, not to mention that there are many others which don't work)? Perhaps some additional Font Libraries or whatever?

I got a cheap polish windows 10 tablet with 16GB internal storage and 1GB of RAM.
Is it even worth it to put Linux on it? If yes, which distro? I'd prefer nothing Debian based and it needs to support UEFI

I have that case and while it's nice to build in, is quiet, and will hold a shitload of hdds it bloody well aint beautiful. Looks nice on the pic though. In real life it just looks like a nondescript black computer box from the year 2000 or so.
