What is the best OS and why is it TempleOS?
Be serious now, is the chrome botnet just a meme or seriously harmful? If so, in what way exactly? If it's only sending encrypted dumb shit like where on pages I've clicked and my bookmarks then is it really worth worrying about?
I'm a newbie programmer (MATLAB was my first language) needing to learn Python, Unix, and R (have slight background in all)

Which direction air flow in CPU from fan? Left? Right? Left or Right?
one on each side facing inward.
From the CPU, outwards. Pushing air onto the CPU creates a heat spot directly on the ball bearings, which could potentially melt your processor. Don't do it, OP. Good luck, ganbatte!

Can you guys check out this build? https://pcpartpicker.com/user/NubPCbuilder/saved/bHb3CJ This will be my first PC build and I want to play games like Rust, arma 3, overwatch, maybe some dark souls, etc. I was wondering if I could play these games at at least 1080p with little to no problems. Any feed back is appreciated.

A lot of us use software for free, but as we all know everything comes at a cost.
In the case of free software, a substantial part of this cost is often absorbed by the people that develop it, because it's where their heart is.
Ikey Doherty is going to develop Solus full time. Leaving your dayjob brings uncertainty, risk, and in his case, financial impact. Solus has seen a lot of momentum lately, which means the community of users has the opportunity to turn that uncertainty into appreciation and reward.
If you use Solus perhaps now is the time to consider becoming a Patreon for a few dollars per month. Doing your bit becomes huge if enough people do the same.
I don't know Ikey, I don't tend to agree with him all the time, and I don't use Solus. If you think this post is rubbish by all means feel free to move along. If not: visit https://www.patreon.com/solus and do your part.
For those who travel and work. I wonder if you could blow up your 13" Laptop Display to 27" via a 2x-Zoom Lens/Glasses? And is it comfortable enough to get work done.

NetBSD's is 139MiB/s, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, DragonFlyBSD have very similar code as NetBSD and are probably identical, illumos's is 141MiB/s without an argument, 100MiB/s with. OS X just uses an old NetBSD version similar to OpenBSD's, MINIX uses NetBSD's, BusyBox's is 107MiB/s, Ultrix's (3.1) is 139 MiB/s, COHERENT's is 141MiB/s.

Idiot.
Hey guys.
We're specifically dealing with the corsair Strafe RGB with silent cherry switches.
Is there any way to just remove the top of the switch to clean out the inside without removing the entire thing/soldering?
No. Just throw it in the dishwasher and hang it out to dry for a couple of days and you'll be fine.
>>60884052
What if no dishwasher?
It's just the M key that's messed up. Every other key is fine. Oil from a sandwich dripped onto the key and after cleaning the area I didn't realize some actually got into the switch itself.
I can't seem to turn my keyboard upside down and actuate to get any of it to come out. Unsure what else I could try.
Wouldn't I have to re-lube afterwards too?
>>60884084
You could rinse it thoroughly in the sink too. Just mash the key in question as you do, to make sure it gets properly rinsed. After its dry, just test the key. If it works well you dont need to relube. I spilled beer on my keyboard once and cleaned it out line this and i didnt have to relube.
Which project are you looking towards? Siacoin, Storj, IPFS's Filecoin, Maidsafe. They all seem to have potential to change how people use cloud storage. I'm personally using Storj and Siacoin right now for my backups and everything seems to be smooth. Which project is /g/ supporting?
I think Storj is the most mature out of the bunch. It has quite a bit of publicity as Ashton Kutcher just invested in the company.
Sia's prices are similar to ovh or online.net glacier offers. Shouldn't they be cheaper? They compare themselfes to s3, do they offer streaming? I am also not convinced that I have more control over my data.

I believe they are implementing streaming soon™
Mostly for a bit of fun but I actually want to put together some extremely discreet surveillance equipment as well as some pentesting hardware.
Stuff like good quality pinhole wifi cameras with battery packs that you've hidden or built into other objects or any hardware which can be used to dump on a network and remotely accessed to gather info etc. Shit like that.
Post pictures of anything you've bought, also, what's the most dangerous stuff you've seen on them, shit that you could modify yourself into something other than that which was originally intended etc.
If not, just general personal projects you're proud of thread will sate.
