Why does wireless stop working when you have pending updates that need to be installed? I have had this issue on multiple devices. Has anyone else had this problem?
>>60918417
Yeah my surface pro 4 pen stopped working because W10 had a tantrum I guess. It had a updating waiting for restart.
Install Gentoo

>Why does wireless stop working when you have pending updates that need to be installed?
It doesn't.
Post a screenshot of your current build and exact driver used with your devices.
>rewriting this in a functional language lets you ensure immutability of state and that lets you reason about the program and prove it's correctness in a logical and mathematically sound way
It always cracks me up when limp-wristed javascript webdev cunts try to LARP as mathmaticians.
Why do programmers have such delusions of grandeur? Especially the CS grads.
You're writing bottom of the barrel garbage CRUD code that glues other people's libraries together, stop pretending you're a mathmatician.
It's probably time to upgrade right lads?
In terms of gaming, reckon there would be much of a performance boost with a 970?
its time to upgrade everything, even the gpu my dude
>>60918175
Just buy a 2600K and drop it into your current setup. You'll be fine for another couple of years at least and new Ryzen chips will be out by then, hopefully clocking higher.
>>60918451
Holy shit that i7 2600k OC performance is insane, not a bad shout dude thanks!
Privacytools.io = meme?
>no 7zip
Like what the fuck yo? Look at their list of suggestions, it's all fucking CLOUD.
>>60918110
use truecrypt or luks.
quantum hybrids are probably coming soon though, so there's no way to hide your cp anymore.
Thinking of setting up a small Seedbox/Media Server with a Raspberry Pi or similar board (O-Droid, BeagleBone)
What do you guys use your Pi/Etc for?
>>60918084
The ethernet port on the pi is crippled by shit IO speeds, you'll be seeding and pulling horribly slow. So slow that it's not worth the trouble.
snes and webm, gb of ram sucks on the www
The pi is nice for a local media server, using it to seed will cripple it entirely though.
It's got a shitty bus for Ethernet and USB.
Buy a used one and grab a dollar store micro USB cable. Save money.
Lets finish this:
Systemd botnet?
https://www.strawpoll.me/13200796
The problem is that no one knows. It can't be reviewed in a timely manner because it's so sprawling. There is also the argument that systemd is a massive point of possible failure and there are lit concerns that it was built in conjunction with the NSA

If you're using GNU/Linux then it's pretty much just the total processing power across all cores that matter.
The same is mostly true for Windows too, that picture is kind of stupid because both Chrome/Chromium and Firefox will distribute evenly across all cores these days.
If you're using Windows and you play older games that haven't gotten any updates in years or a few poorly written newer ones then single core performance matters and in this particular case it's fair to say that multi-core is just a scam.
>>60917704
Of course it's a scam, any OS should be able to prioritise adequately to reach similar results.
This program will give you, at most, +5fps.
Also, >>>/v/
It used to be worthwhile on older systems that had lots of lower power cores, say for example something like a Phenom II.
However, with window's latest updates it now automatically does what CPUCores does so... I guess he lost his job to a robot.
So /g/, these are the specs of the only thing I have had to browse the internet for the last 5 months. Does anyone here beat my extremely poor fag setup as their only access to the internet?
I went from an i5 and 980 to this btw.
>>60917555
Yes i own a wiko sunny.
But I'm using my mom's levono tab 3 essential 7 right now.
>>60917698
You have twice my storage and Android 6.0 though.
>>60917748
Yes but 512mb ram this thing lags unbearable.
And 4 inch display made for dwarfs.
hey /g/
last time i put pc together was over 10y ago,
is dual channel ram still a thing in 2017 ?
what about 4 filled ram slots, 4x8gb would still be DCh?
also, ddr4 2400 cl14 would be astronomically better than 2133 cl15 , right?
>triple channel Master race
>Yes
>>60917421
I'd give her some dual channel RAM.
What's your verdict on this? Anyone using it already?
Even normie youtube shills are beginning to BTFO Intel now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3ssad0qZuU
How will they ever recover?
>>60917050
maybe they'll design a new architecture and then not innovate anything else for another several decades.
>>60917050
Every Windows user is a normie.
>>60917050
This one was probably the best of the "wtf Intel is shit now" "Tech"tubers video.
Can someone explain to me what will happen to bitcoin in august? People are going crazy about the potential hard fork. My question is, how will that potentially affect the bitcoin price?
Ethereum classic is at almost 5% of Ethereum's price. Will that happen to bitcoin?
>>60916847
I'm thinking a very heavy dip initially, but this change is supposedly supposed to increase transaction speed immensely which is one of the things holding Bitcoin back, this would shoot it into the stratosphere if it can do what it was initially planned to do
not much will happen, because most people will agree with the changes

I've had great help from /g/ before and wondering if anybody is bored enough to search wtih me to see if they find any success stories.
I find it amazing we can root iphones so easily but gov phones are a hard nut to crack, I tried to crack a ZTE MAVEN 2 but that shit didn't go anywhere.

Help pls, have old crusty PC that I want to install windows xp on for older games (since ass-tier windows 10 won't let me play games with discs). I have two old GPUs, a 9500 GT and a GTX745. I know the 745 is better and newer, but is it too new, like could it stop me from playing some newer games because of lack of support? Thanks.
Should have clarified in the OP, I just need to know thoughts on an older PC running XP, go for newer shitty GPU, or older shitty GPU?
nevermind guise, I installed xp and it bluescreens on boot i think it's kill.
