>I hate fidget spinners but I won't stop thinking about them
why?
>tfw you fell for the 16GiB RAM meme
>>61045074
I had the foresight to buy 2x8gb instead of 4x4gb so that I could upgrade when I realized 16gb wasn't enough.
...You bought 4x4gb? Holy shit, anon.
>>61045131
I did the same as you. Ridiculous that gaming at 1080p is close to 16gb not being enough.
>>61045074
I don't see the problem. RAM doesn't cost that much. I have 2*8GB RAM and that's more than enough.
Who's excited to see the end of Mozilla?
The Firefox version that will kill 95% of all extensions is around the corner.
Only the insignificant percentage of the population that reads boards like this every day is aware that so much is going to be broken all of the sudden.
I can't wait to see the rage of the masses when that happens, and the mass migration towards the lowest common denominator Chrome (why use a clone like New Firefox TM instead of the original thing?) or Vivaldi (the only browser that still respects your intelligence).

Only 4 out of my 14 add-ons broke.
Of those 4, one is blender, which has been unmaintained for years (and thus rendered pretty much useless), one is Lazarus (unmaintained, and broken for about a year), one is refcontrol, and one is URLtoQRcode, which has a gorillion replacements.
Notable still working add-ons include classic theme restorer, downthemall, foxyproxy, betterprivacy, coincidence detector, greasemonkey, gtranslate (which is shit and I'll take suggestions for a better replacement), https everywhere, ublock and umatrix
How much marketshare will Firefox lose to Chrome? Place your bets everyone.
I'm thinking Chrome will rise to 70% at the very least. They might even get close to 80%.
It's going to be a hilarious day when everyone opens their Firefox browser and it "doesn't work anymore."
how have television stations been able to stream at higher bitrates for all this time via satellite
and yet we cant get online streams higher than 1Mbps for "HD" and actual satelite speeds are pathetic so we use landlines and under-ocean lines
>>61044653
It's like UDP, it only has to go one way, and since TV's don't send data back, you can skip most of the overhead involved with a tcp/IP connection and just broadcast packets 1 way as fast as possible.
>>61044708
This.
/thread
>>61044708
This combined with the fact that with television everyone is receiving the same stream.

Is it safe to delete the google playstore I have no need to install any apps anymore, I dont like the app is there an alternative that will update my apps?
F-Droid.
Anyway even if you delete the PlayStore app you still keep the Google Services, so if you don't disable both, it doesn't matter if you delete it.
>>61044474
Wow, that must be a record for run-on sentences.
>>61044474
The yalp store is available from fdroid, and is basically a play store alternative.
Do you cover up your laptop webcam?
No, because I don't let my laptop get hacked in the first place.
yessir - makes me wonder why they are still being put in computers if everyone blocks them
my laptop doesn't have a webcam or a microphone
What's your favorite way to simplify screen resolutions?
I prefer simply saying the hypotenuse. For example, 1600x900 becomes 50 after adding the numbers and squaring. This can essentially avoid confusion with systems like calling both 1920x1080 and 2560x1080 "1080p".
>>61044423
>1600x900 becomes 50 after adding the numbers and squaring
That's not how it works
The hypotenuse of a 1600x900 triangle is approximately 1835.7
>>61044777
I never bothered with squaring 1600 or 900. Smaller numbers are easier to remember.
I am quite fond of simplifying them as 2-tuples of natural numbers. (w,h), where w is the width and h is the height. I give it a special notation wxh, read "w by h".

>>61044250
Navi's concept is to bring Infinity Fabric scaling to GPUs. If they can pull it off, it will be pretty amazing. That's what he's saying there. He also says Vega will still be worth it. Fuck off already with the shitposting.

Hello, I'm a dumb retard.
I'm building a new PC and want to install WIN10 on it.
Should I download a clean install, use WinUSB Maker to put it on a bootable USB and then activate it with KMSpico
or
Pirate Win7/8/8.1 and use the free upgrade thing?

Install bootlegged 7, use the disabled to upgrade, install 10, and then do a fresh install. Done
>>61044068
Okay, thanks
Any particular reason for why that's the best way to do it?

Post obscure/rare/old/strange software. The "outsider art" of technology.

Daedalus lets you generate and walk through 2d and 3d mazes, also contains some game-like modes like pac-man, sokoban and hunger games.

Daqarta is a sort of virtual function generator (like they use in electronics labs), you can make sweeps and modulate amplitude, frequency, pulsewidth, etcetera.

Freehand is a vector graphics editor like Illustrator or Inkscape, it was eventually bought out by Adobe and killed off. You can still find the demo online though, and use the serial number provided here
