keepass is your best option
>>
Keepass, stores your passwords in a single file called a "database", It's also encrypted and needs a password to be accessed.

Hello /g/ I managed to fuck up the BCD on my Windows installation, and don't have any form of recovery media.
I'd have to wait until Tuesday to get into my apartment's computer lab to try and get it on a stick. But one thing I need to ask

Why the blasphemous fuck did nobody think of adding startup repair tools on the recovery partition of W10, it was there all the time in 7's boot menu and disappeared in 8 supposedly.

On the other hand, is there a way to repair the bcd without having to download the entirety of Windows 10 to my phone and jacking in?

How the fuck do you fuck up a windows installation, I can understand fucking up arch or maybe even ubuntu if you're mental. But fucking windows. I'd like to help but I don't work with autists
>>

Very specific problem.
I put USB stick in the computer, computer passes post and freezes. I take it out, computer is booting.
I check the boot priorities in ASUS bios, and there's a shit ton of "Windows Bot Manager," like 20 of them for some reason. I tried removing them in bios.and they come back.

So I just tried to nuke all of them with VisualBCD. Thought if I fucked. It would come back to recovery partition.

It didn't.
>>
>>61050039
When there were still alot of boot managers, trying to move the priority in EZ Mode would freeze the bios menu.

What are you working on?

How does it feel knowing that software engineering, in all it's forms, is the most unrewarding, soulsucking "white collar" profession imaginable?
If you, as a career programmer, haven't retired or at least reached management by age 35, you get replaced with young blood and become effectively unemployable.

my laptop runs Linux Ubuntu MATE 16.04. Solely for the purpose of a testing bed for sketchy programs inside a Windows sandbox. Also to open my encrypted containers because I don't trust Windows 10 to not be brute forcing my containers in the background while I'm away at work. My containers have several plaintext files and the last thing I need is magically somehow a copy of my username/password page getting out. It'd ruin me

That and the various powers that be already know the fucked up hentai I browse. They don't need to see how much I have and how I order it.
>>
all of the games i play support linux, and i don't give a shit about games like overwatch
i dont need adobe apps

and even i did, my laptop isn't powerful enough to handle them anyways. i have an osx workstation for that.
(which rarely gets used for the same reasons i listed)

The new Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16226 adds a GPU utilization Tab in Windows 10 task manager. The Performance tab shows GPU utilization information for each separate GPU component (such as 3D and Video encode/decode), as well as graphics memory usage stats.

how does /g/ protect itself from online fingerprinting? is it even possible to protect yourself completely?
12 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
The only way to protect from fingerprinting is to use someone else's archive service and never post any text, ever.
>>
>>61048659
You protect yourself by not trying to protect yourself. Because then you show up on the radar.
>>
>>61048659
>possible to protect yourself?
No it's currently impossible. Because whatever fingerprint you got, everyone else will be unique. Ref: https://panopticlick.eff.org/

Currently every browser is pretty can be identified as unique, after you've taken GeoIP into account (people don't appear all over the world).

So first everyone would have to agree on some common set of variables to be "exposed" and make sure they are all identical. For obvious reasons, no browser vendor is interested in that since all the big ones are paid for by the companies that wants to run cool code in your browser and track you up the ass.

You have to be fucking shitting me, i had to reinstall the lightning browser due to some issues, little did i know apparently deleting lightning browser also deletes all the images that have been downloaded using it, 400+ memes fucking gone. I'm so fucking mad, am i retarded? Anyway to recover these or is it all gone.
