How difficult would it be to reimplement MapleStory, even an older version? Do you think there will be interest in this when Nexon finally discontinues it?
i dont quite understand what you mean, but it sounds like private servers?
Has this place always been like this? Linux vs Windows?
I started visiting this board like 3 days ago and I constantly get reminded that I should neck myself for using Windows or install Gentoo.
Do you have a good monitor, /g/?
dell s2716dg 144hz tn with gsync
though i use it in ulmb mode (strobing backlights) 120hz, gsync a shit. ulmb makes the image crystal clear even in motion, i hope this becomes standard at some point.
i jizz every time i play ut4
IPS, 1440p, 144Hz, the holy trinity. Also has Freesync but I have an Nvidia card. Oh well, it was three hundred dollars less than the Gsync one, Gsync isn't worth that much to me.
>os released in 2001 is better than all Linux distros
So, which is the best phone for receiving FW updates other than Google phones? How can it beat iPhone?
Just buy a phone strictly by hardware specs and whether or not the bootloader is unlockable. Don't look at any of the software features. Then once you unbox the phone instantly unlock it and flash something like LineageOS and never worry about dropped support again.
>Assemble your parts list

If you want help:
>State the budget for your build (and country if not the USA).
>List games/software you use often, as well as your monitor resolution + refresh rate.
>Clarify your goal for build improvements: lower price or improved specs?
>G4560 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R5 1400 - if you can't afford better or specifically need 8 threads but not a very powerful CPU
>R5 1500x - Buy the 1600 instead
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; Get a 1600x if you don't OC
>i7 7700k - only for 144hz
>R7/Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/mixed use; Not required for just gaming
Coin miners have driven price up and stock down, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - [email protected] at high, running most maxed older games at 144+hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - [email protected] maxed, [email protected] at lower settings; Go for the R X580 if you can
>GTX 1070 - [email protected] /[email protected] at high
>GTX 1080 - [email protected] / [email protected] maxed, [email protected] in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - [email protected] and [email protected] maxed/high in many games
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen benefits from high speed RAM
ALWAYS LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS!
Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
The Ryzen lineup comes with exceptionally good stock coolers. (with the exception of the 1600X) consider using them over any sub 35USD cooler.
Yes it is. Even then a lot of users go for a 1600 or 1700 still because they might benefit from more cores better, but the 7700k still bests anything at high framerate and also some productivity software like Photoshop and such (anything that doesn't scale well from threads)
Not being racist, but why are most CEOs of the top tech companies Indian?
indians are the race with the highest iq on the globe
theyr just very successful people that come from one of the greatest nations of earth, which is india of course so theyre just very based and good people also they are on a healthy diet all the time because indian food is healthy and they eat it so it makes their mind body connection steong just to be sure
Nah. Lots of retards in India just like everwhere else.
They have a huge population though and the US has an immigration quota, so the ones that do get to immigrate into the US are usually very skilled.
AES128 has been BTFO! NSA can literally decrypt most of your https traffic.
>I use Tor to access clearweb
You can't post on the 4chins with tor.
>and I use 4096-bit RSA encryption to encrypt all my traffic
I see a contradiction here: Tor uses ed25519/dh1024/rsa1024
Also, nobody uses RSA for anything else than signing the DH key (and nobody uses DH for anything other than key exchange) which means that you probably use a symmetric encryption algo in order to encrypt the actual data (which is probably AES128).
Yes, I did. It clearly says that if you have enough ciphertexts a state actor can easily recover some of their 128bit keys.
Is there any part where you disagree?
Lads, it's my birthday soon and I want a cute little netbook to buy with my Jew gold.
I'd want something utilitarian but stylish, something that'd go well with the grays and dark blues like on the Discord GUI but also has a decent network card that supports haxxor shit like packet injection.
Bonus points if it supports coreboot/libreboot.
How do I decrypt my phone.
I bought it brand new and it came already encrypted.
Dasung is releasing a new model of e-ink monitor. This can connect with HDMI, unlike the older model that connected through USB and needed drivers, it's still powered through UsB though. No DisplayPort unfortunately.
What's really that wrong with HDMI besides that manufacturers have to pay larger fees than DisplayPort, and that it's inferior to DisplayPort when it comes to fastening mechanism?
Found my old eMac. Runs fine, but browsers such as Safari and Chrome aren't supported because of how old it is. What can I do to get stuff to work on this machine, specifically to play Steam games? Pic related
I want to learn programming. Is Python a good choice for a newbie?
honestly, I would recommend learning the basics of C for a week or two (until you understand control structures, arrays, pointers)
C is the closest to a real "computer's language", Python is more productive but also more distant from the hardware
