True Anons (as in actually anonymous and max /sec/), how did you get started? When did the paranoia first kick in?
On an unrelated note, should I buy into Monero simply because I support a true anon coin but am not a wet pocket /biz/kid?
Good work, anon. BTW the archive still has a few other /cyb/ threads including cyb cities and cyb music.
From earlier thread:
>>How, more specifically, do you recommend people store data?
>3 2 1 - Backups.
>A 3-2-1 strategy means having at least 3 total copies of your data, 2 of which are local but on different mediums (read: devices), and at least 1 copy offsite.
Sure, and I have something like that, but that still means you store data on your own computer, you just have a backup plan.
>people should be encouraged to not store data on their computer period
that I wondered about.
Reminder, we don't pronounce SMTP, or HTTP as a word, so you're a nitwit if you say VoIP as a word.
That's not true. Different acronyms have different conventions. Language grows organically, so it doesn't have to make sense. If you leave your basement and you have to talk to real people about computers, you should adopt the pronunciation that is used in the industry. If you pronounce things correctly, other people will assume you have experience. If you pronounce things incorrectly, they will either assume you don't have any experience or that you're one of those autists who insist on spelling out every acronym because they are uncomfortable with verbal communication.
Plus you're completely inexperienced at working with others and have zero ability to assess competence. And the inverse of your assertion is ofter more true; e.g. buzzwords are known but deeper technological understanding is not.
>caring about OSes on home computers when all your personal data is on the cloud
> Due to "reasons" we have decided to discontinue our cloud services
> Data will not be recoverable. Our support staff cannot help you with data recovery.
All your data is now lost. I hope you kept backups.
Oh wait, they were all in the cloud.
Do you guys think the current iOS 11 for iPad tells us about the future of a fullscreen iPhone software change or are the two interfaces meant to be different for their category of devices?
