I overclocked my gpu in tiny increments and once the core clock speed got to +140, my game (steep) wouldn't start. I quickly restarted my machine and reverted the settings, but in every game i try it is 30-40 frames(30-40 less than i should be getting). any help?
congrats you fried your gpu

And yet some idiots still don't believe /g/ is /v/'s tech support.

Windows: Alright, yeah! Checkin out the all new and super fast and cool Edge? Rad!
Edge: Hey, alright, dude! How's it goin', man?
>*clicks address bar* "chrome"
Edge: H-hold on a minute, havent you seen I'm faster than both chrome AND firefox? How about that?
>"google chrome"
Edge: A-alright... loading search results for chrome-- Oh, what's this giant search-result-blocking notification here? It says Microsoft Edge is the recommended browser for Windows. It's illegal to browse for other browsers, best leave that for us to handle.
>*clicks google chrome download link*
Edge: Now, wait a minute, i don't think you saw the speed comparison picture, did you see--
>*clicks download*
>*download stops half way through*
Edge: Ohhhh nooooo! Ohhhh darnnnnn... Oh well...
>*redownloads*
>*installs chrome*
>*launches chrome*
Chrome: Yo dawg, wowser, you still using Edge? Better make me your default browser.
>*clicks 'choose browser' in settings*
Windows: Hey there, I'd just like to remind you that Edge is the official recommended brow-
>*clicks chrome*
Windows: Well hold on just a darn minute. Before you switch, try Microsoft Edge-- it's new, it's fast, and it's built for windows 10... unlike those otherrrrr guys... you know who i mean.
>*switch anyway*
Windows: Oh, okay.

Firefox isn't like this
just learned about bonded internet and so i've been on the google all day trying to find how to make this shit work way out in hudspeth county, tx.
the local telecoms/ISPs are stupid expensive and offer meh-level bandwidth.
so far, i can't find the box i need.
but even if i do, i don't know all the tech shit for bonded servers.
can anyone help me understand in layman's terms?
>does this box exist?
>if not, and i buy a wired box, how can i modify it to be what i need?
>beyond all that, would i also need to create some server at t-mobile? or would it "just work"?
>>61192387
linus cuck tips did it:

The business sells boxes that do up to 5 ports, so I guess for wifi you could set up 5 wifi to ethernet bridges.
>>61192464
bruh, that's the video that got me started.
trying to figure out how to replace the DSL with hotspot from phones.
>>61192387
>>does this box exist?
Yes, look for SDWAN solutions. Everyone and their mom makes them. Cisco's is called iWAN.
>or would it "just work"?
do you understand how bonding works? it isnt going to make your internet twice as fast for a single file transfer. you'll need multiple datastreams. Something like bittorrent could utilize it for downloads.
>>61192588
>trying to figure out how to replace the DSL with hotspot from phones.
A cisco router, and either get ethernet dongles for phones, or a Cisco Aironet to use as a workgroup bridge.
What do you guys think of Yamaha audio equipment? Just noticed this gem on their website:
>Saturday evening. Relaxing, and peacefully waiting for my wife to finish preparing dinner.
>Holding a coffee in one hand, I casually turn the pages of my book, while the HiFi sound of a ballad singer soaks into my heart.
>Spending time relaxing with my favourite music—this is the life.
Yamaha makes good audio equipment. I have three yamaha keyboards (a proper digital piano and two refaces)
what do you expect from a company with three tunings forks as a logo?

Which one? They're like 3M for music. They make pretty much everything.
Cereal is technology.
So is chocolate milk.
So is air conditioning.
And so is frozen berries.
Name your favorite non computer related technology and why you like it so much.
For me, it's beer cheese soup, that's some good technology.
>>61192225
I think you're confusing technology with products of technology...
>>61192265
If that's so, how is a computer not a product of micro transistor technology?
Mass printing is a technology. I read the book Technopoly. It was somewhat interesting.
I just listed the RX470 I bought for $200 in January for $500

You all complain about Microsoft and yet they've created the best mouse to ever come into existence.
There is no better mouse than the wheel mouse optical.

try again
>>61191498
Is this a meme? I've used this mouse at work. It's better than the usual HP/Dell shitter mice but it's nothing special. Most Logitech mice are better for a start.

I've pretty much stopped gaming so I end up with plenty of time on my hands after I've done my uni assignments. In my free time I could watch some CS related stuff. Any recommendations for cool computer science related channels?

I am trying to drop off the grid. That being said, I also need trustworthy alternatives major services I use, such as google's mail, maps, and file hosting service, as well as a chat client to replace messenger & discord. For the latter I'm thinking about IRC but I don't think I can convince the people I know to switch over.
what the fuck am I supposed to do? i feel stuck in a world of surveillance and I just want my freedoms back. what have you done anons?
The only way is nothing connect to the internet or cell network.
It doesn't matter if you use Google mail or some homebrew mail. It doesn't even matter if you encrypt your mail or not because your CPU has a chipset level keylogger that can access internet connectivity even when powered off by remote access (intel ME)
>>61191205
ive heard this claim but have never seen it substantiated
the only way to drop off the grid is to drop technology and connections. you cant, face it
>tfw the scroll wheel on your 10 year old MX518 is stopping to work
I'm gonna miss my GOAT mouse, it was better than any overpriced "gaming" mouse bullshit.

I did
Hi,
I'm working on setting up a crypto mining operation in a locale where electricity is cheap. I've learned that one key component is strong video cards.
The problem is that everyone has hopped aboard this train recently, and the demand is so high that these top tier video cards aren't available for bulk purchases. Even more than (2) is too many.
Are there any kindly hacker dirtbags that have a hot tip on where I can buy (6) or more high quality cards at a time, around $500-$1,000 each? Need for vendor legitimacy TBD...
Buy from overseas, that's your only hope.
>>61190999
meh. thanks but i need specific vendor or at least semi-specific. basically need an underground hookup.
>>61190938

VLC is gay.
I use IINA under macOS.
https://github.com/lhc70000/iina
>>61190859
What are you talking about? VLC is still the best
>>61190970
MPV is better. The seek is smoother, videos don't glitch-out after being paused for a while (pic related), and it doesn't have an intrusive UI.
