Does using thermal paste as tooth paste really work?
only in summer
I'm using mayonnaise.
Werks just as good.
>>61195285
I've been using it for about a month since our household ran out. It removes gunk surprisingly well after the friction warms it out and softens it. Why don't you try it for yourself?
How fucked am I? Should I just nuke it and reinstall?
just safe mode, and run a virus program
derp
>>61195212
yes, you should nuke it and uninstall
>>61195212
Take your cyanide capsule now.

>there are """people""" on /g/ who put their tower on their desk
I have to. I have a room that gets dusty af,
So the higher it is, the better it is for me in the long room
I have mine on a table next to my desk.
Am I "people"" yet
>>61195165
>there are people on /g/ who put their computers on carpet without an office mat
So I have a mATX Z170 board when Skylake was just out.
Now there's literally affordable 6core and 8core offerings from Intel (I don't like AMD).
So what the heck, what can I do with this board? I have a 6700k in it. Will putting in a 7700k help at all?
I'd like to go 8 core in the near future. I wish x299 came out last year I would totally get the 7820x.
>So
>lolol i don't like xy (just because xd)
>having NO fucking idea about housefireX
x299 and the CPUs are cheaper than x99 because AMD kikeripper will btfo it for cheaper.
back to wherever the fuck you came from.
>>61195134
BETTAH BUY MOAHR INTEL PRODUCTS
>>61195134
What are you even asking? You can do whatever you want with it
>the success of this is riding entirely on whether or not Microsoft can convince software developers to put their apps on the Windows Store
Can they pull it off?
The Windows 10 Store now has desktop software like Slack, Krita, Inkscape, Telegram, Evernote, and Tweeten. They just got Spotify and Apple is planning to bring iTunes to the store as well. If they keep it up, it might not be looking too bad.
>>61195225
>The Windows 10 Store now has desktop software like Slack, Krita, Inkscape, Telegram, Evernote, and Tweeten.
so basically everything thats already on a fucking phone
lol MS just needs to do a hard reset or quit this software game, they're not good at it.
>>61195059
there is no reason why it shouldn't work. however I gurantee you that those "apps" will be more expensive. it will be pretty much as the apple app store. there will be some cheap ones of course but exactly the one you need won't be.
It also quite possible for apps to be denied entry, like apple did with the vlc player for ios.
So, the user will "feel" the difference, one way or another.
Now I could make an estemate on how more and more users will leave windows and start using alternatives, but honestly I thought that about pretty much anything microsoft did in the last decade and they still have users. Retards will be born every day.
/b/ros how do u unlock metropcs lg vista smartphone?
Bump for interest
>>61194911
Are you fucking serious? Let this thread die
Give it back Jamal. What is with all the thieves on /g/ the last few years?
>get a real job
>working for a real company
>making good money
>first major job
>hey so anon can you take this open source thing and remove these cool features and remove all branding so we can say its proprietary thanks
jesus fucking christ
its my first fucking job...how can I stand up for myself here? No wonder this mess happened...they get you the first moment they can. I suggested potentially having issues with the task and they said there's another guy who had basically just as good a chance at getting the job. wtf
Welcome to the real world kiddie.
It's sink or swim
>>61194854
You are getting an easy job, just do it.
Sounds like a shit place to work. Here we embrace open source and pretty much exclusively work with it, anything in house we make is made from scratch to fill some purpose, or we submit upstream patches.
let's kode together

This is the consumer technology review board. Good luck with that.
bumping, could be fun i guess
had a good streak sucks how it got removed
So...when do we get our distro flags on /g/?
>>61194823
This. /g/ is supposed to be for tech enthusiasts, so it's time we rid ourselves of those using noob distros.
>>61194823
Ya why does/pol/ get retarded meme flags without country & we have none?
>>61194823
You mean OS flags? Stop using useless linux flavors already and go back to an actually useful OS
What are some /g/ approved programming books?
>>61194743
Not that one. I would suggest K&R
>>61194758
that IS K&R you mongoloid ...
Is it worth removing the anti-glaring filter of your monitor or is it a meme?
>>61194740
Of course it's a meme.
>>61194740
The anti-glare layer on most LCDs is built into the front polarizer. Remove it, and the screen won't work.
>>61194740
>>61194740
why would you want to remove the anti-glare? it keeps it from being a fucking mirror. hate shiny screens.
the other linus
>>61194718
Still less gay than Apple.
>>61194729
So he only takes it up the ass and then pretends to be straight while sitting next to his jock buddy with only 4 earrings rather than the typical Applefag wearing a sleeveless AIDS tshirt in a pride parade? That's probably just the Canadian in him.
>>61194718
That's linux you dumb boz
>buy cheapo netgear router

>>61194628
I don't give a shit about your post but I am curious as to why you chose that seemingly random pic for the OP?
>>61194641
it's not a random picture.
>>61194628
the cheap shitty routers are the same hardware as the fancier ones, they just have features disabled stupidly like that. And they have a lower markup and sometimes an enclosure that's not as flashy. That's it.
consumer wi-fi routers are all shit, 100% of them
>theres nothing wrong with letting companies control your hardware remotel-
stop cheating jamal
