FreeBSD is so much nicer than any Linux distro that I just can't find the reason why it's a lot less developed for.
I mean, ZFS is like the sexiest file system right now...
>>61372482
i want to FreeBSD!
>>61372482
ZFS is cool but I don't have the money to buy all the fucking RAM I'd need to use it lol
ZFS is very superfluous. UFS+*separate* redundancy/other tool/cwfs is how it should be
Why aren't you on a 64-bit machine?

I bought an i9 and my house burned down, so now I have to post from this Pentium III machine at the library.
Because I dont need more than 4gb ram
3gb windows xp running on pentium 4 is enough.

>“Net neutrality” isn’t what you think it is. It won’t “level the playing field.” It will introduce government regulation to a nearly flawless model of free-market growth.
>Telecom giants like AT&T and Verizon and content providers like Netflix push an almost geometrically higher amount of traffic onto broadband than they accept. As a result, the broadband providers have responded by raising rates and/or lowering speeds (aka “slow-laning”) some content.
>Essentially, monster telecoms and content providers — Netflix is the most famous example — are demanding first-class seating in a 747 while paying jump seat-in-a-Piper prices.
>And they’ve managed to convince millions of people — not to mention the Democratic Party — that they’re the proverbial little guy, standing up to the corporate fat cats.
>Having successfully played themselves into the hearts and minds of every selfie-posting hipster from Brooklyn to Berkeley, they’ve further pushed the idea that the FCC should force the broadband providers to adhere to a federally structured framework of service and fees.
>Gigantic content delivery networks (CDNs) will now be able to dictate the terms of their agreements to broadband providers upon pain of civil — or even criminal –prosecution.

>Telecom giants like AT&T and Verizon and content providers like Netflix push an almost geometrically higher amount of traffic
Telecoms were given four hundred billion in goverment funding to upgrade to fiber.
Where's the fiber?
Considering that the ISPs have been trying to throttle and restrict services and being slapped down by the FCC for years.
Why do pc manufacturers purposely complicate the process of adding new components? Why not just add convenient ram slots on the exterior?
most people just trash them after three years.
>>61371721
If you're replacing components, it's assumed you have the competency to open the case.
>>61371721
That design only works for laptops and sff systems. Other wise they would have to redesign the case.
So I am in the market for a new computer chair. My only requirements are the ability to recline & the ability to lock the tilting position..ideally I want to spend around $300. After hours of watching retarded videos I've come to this one..
Vertagear PL6000
https://www.vertagear.com/products/pl6000?variant=24979802437
>inb4 muh racing stripes
It is color neutral - all black. All the dxracer chairs (most racing style seats) look corny to me.
It's originally priced at $450 on sale for $440 but the kicker is I can get 20% off because of a veterans discount which brings the price down to $350. Is this a fair price for the chair?
Can anyone link me to a better chair around my price range with the ability to recline & lock the tilting position
E-Blue Gaming chair.
Personally have this one after many other chairs.
>>61371694
Those colors are pretty brutal but how do you like it? Can it lock its tilting position?
>>61371663
That chair looks okay. Higher the weight it can stand the better the quality usually. It means they didn't cheap out on components that will keep the chair stable. That's said that doesn't say anything about comfort so you should look at reviews

Is there a way who allows me to delete a node forever from the browser view? I don't want to delete it every single time I reload the website.
If there is a browser which do this directly I'll move to it, I don't mind. I'm just tired of doing this every single time.
Userstyles if you are satisfied with hiding the node using css. Userscripts if you want it gone.
>>61371398
Checking Userstyles first because css is the easier way, thanks.

What's so shitty about it? I've already made my buy so I guess it doesn't matter. Is it just because stuff isn't where you usually expect it to be?
>>61371327
Its nice that the numpad on the model M SSK can do alt codes

75% is a great layout, the best compact layout IMO. The only thing bad about it is finding alternate keycap sets.
does anyone here use remix os as a daily os?
>>61371214
You talking about rr? The mobile os?
>>61371214
You would have to retarded to use it. I mean it depends if its some tablet, then it might be good idea to get it. Otherwise, on a regular laptop, fuck no.
>>61371214
Nope, there's still too much to be ironed out for it to become even remotely usable as a Daily OS on a desktop or laptop comptuer and I quite frankly don't think most of them ever will be.
For example, on the PC - as in GNU/Linux and Windows - browsers have keyboard shortcuts like ctrl-t for a new tab and ctrl-l to get to the address bar. These shortcuts work in every single browser but for some reason they just don't on Android. It's Firefox and Chrome on Android, basically the same browsers, but they function differently and basic things you expect to work don't.
I basically use RemixOS as a "public places" OS on my otherwise full-disk encrypted laptop. This way I can use it for very basic things like media consumption and browsing without unlocking the real OS or ever having to type the password in public.
I don't think I will ever use it for much more, to be honest. As I've already said, Android apps just aren't made for a non-touchscreen keyboard and mouse/trackpad setup. Perhaps it would be "good" for some on a 10" or 12" tablet. Not my use-case, though, I like 7" tablets but a laptop is just more usable for anything bigger.
If requesting purchasing advice, please provide your country and what carrier you will be using it with, along with wanted features, budget and size.

LG V20 or the ZTE Axon 7?
I need good audio quality, and would like to be able to do a simple root and put LineageOS on it later.

Axon 7 all day. No boot loops or retarded second screen
>>61371253
The only thing keeping me from it is that it's ugly and is a chinkphone.
How does a phone with literally everything cost $400? I want a prettier phone like the Huawei Mate 9, but apparently that phone has shit audio.
Any Axon 7 owners who have had theirs for a long period of time? Is it worth getting in mid-2017?
