What are you working on /g/?

Thank you for posting a cute anime girl.
>What are you working on /g/?
I just finished a skype interview, and they now want to interview me in person.
I've been teaching myself to code for the past couple of months in my free time, and I love it. I can do it for hours on end and completely forget to eat and sleep. It's always been on the back burner in my mind, and I've messed around with it before on a casual level.
I've been working my way backwards, starting with JS. I've made some websites and applications for fun and I have an idea for another I'm excited to work on after summer exams. My ultimate goal is to get into more server-side stuff. I have a burning desire to build things, or even just fix them. I also have an itch to build a robot for no reason, but more on that later.
Anyway, I'm wrapping up my first two years at college (all gen eds), which is exciting because I've also been working full-time since high school, and was so nervous about striking a balance. But I made it.
I'm deciding now if I'd like to major in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. I know CS degrees are memes, but I'll be the first in my family to ever graduate from college, so it's still important to me to get a degree in something. As long as I get to work with computers, it doesn't matter much to me what it's called. I'm still not sure which I should pick, and am looking into the "day to day" job functions each may have compared to the other. There's some slight overlap.
Anyway, this all being said. I've been lurking 4chins (and lain, 8, etc) since I was a kid. I pretty much grew up on this site. I am used to how women are perceived here, and I just don't/can't care. It's hard to get a rise out of me, and I've never actually told anyone I was talking to that I was a girl/revealed my gender in any way until right now, so it's just not been relevant. We might have even talked on this board before.
I see a lot on here about women being bad at coding. Why do you think that is? I feel as though I've picked it up relatively quickly, but I also know I'll reach a point where I won't be able to teach myself, which is why.....
I'm going to go to school for it. I don't think I suck/write shitty code though.
Do you consider confirmation bias when you say these things? So many girls I know are just dumb so I can see why a lot of you think what you do, but have you ever been impressed by something a girl's made? There's a girl on the development team at my job (I'm in a non-tech department) but she built our website from scratch (back and front end) and it's won awards. She's only 22. I've talked to her a few times, and she honestly seems like she knows about everything.
I mean, I guess I don't really care. It's just late and my brain is running away from me. I'm still going to pursue this thing I love, but I'm just wondering if all the men sitting around me will just think I'm an idiot the whole time/reinforce their confirmation bias if I make any mistakes.
I really love doing this. I hope the whole time I'm doing it my classmates/coworkers won't think I'm useless. Even though it shouldn't matter, it's hard for anyone to feel that way.

Not sure what private trackers are all about?
The mission of /ptg/ is to promote the highest possible standards of tracker service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.
Check out the wiki and update it yourself if you want more instead of complaining like a fucking faggot. https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Private_trackers

>staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before.
>this is a thread for educational purposes only don't offer or ask for invites. Staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers
>people may report emails and other personal info posted here to staff to get you banned.
>most of the invite offers here are people trolling you with false hope - begging for invites is a waste of time and you should just interview
Why the fuck do shithead reviewers and idiots on /g/ use gaming benchmarks for CPUs that aren't built for gaming?
Yes a 7600k will destroy a Ryzen 1800x in gaming benchmarks, however gaming is primarily dependent upon the GPU, and benefits greatly from higher clock speeds. Gaming isn't opitimised fore more than 4 physical cores.
Further gaming is stupid because its not a productive activity, and not what multi-core CPUs are designed for.
I just know shitheads are going to blast threadripper for gaming performance when in reality a 16 core chip isn't designed for gaming.
Why are you still using this botnet?
It's finally all over.

Axon 7 vs LG V20:
>Capacitive buttons that don't take up the screen
>Loud front stereo speakers
>Nice loud amp with AK4490 DAC
Axon 8 may be coming out soon and may be better
>Gimmicky 2nd screen but can be useful
>Nice and loud, has to detect high Ohm headphones to get there, but has ES9218 "Quad" DAC
>AMAZING camera and microphones
LG V30 will suck
Both are 2k, Snap 820, microSD, LineageOS support, and $400.
And I can't fucking decide. V20 clearly looks better on paper but the Axon 7 is sleek and sexy.

I'm building an x299 'puter and I can't find a i7-7820x in stock anywhere.
I have all the parts except the CPU.
Is Intel cancelling these or somethin'?

Is it just a meme that orders can take days to process?
Also, reccomend me more cheap plushes. Already have the bananas and am going to order the chicken and alpaca soon.
Can I trust eraser to get rid of things thoroughly?
Which erasure method does /g/ use and why?
Yeah I tend to go for one pass. For fun I tried to let my the office head of IT security try to retrieve files of my old drive (just to see if he could do it).
After one run of DoD 7-passes and one random data pass I gave it over to him.
He wasted a full 8 hour work day (it was a slow day) and still came up with nothing of value.
Is he just incompetent or is this really good enough?
For I was blind, and now I can see...
Slackware, Debian or Devuan?
