I'm on my freshly installed Debian, no servers, no processes that interface on the network, no nothing.
I also have a pfSense router which I know does not randomly poll the network.
Every once in a while I see my switch's light blink, and some packages go back and forth, even though no process seems to have been connecting through either TCP or UDP.
I guess this is just normal DHCP operation, but I've seen this happen with Debian more than with other distros. Or maybe I just didn't pay attention.

In what countries did they release the white S7? Im from spain and the white goes for 497€, the other for 449€, I want it white. Wtf...

What does that have to do with the current lineup? A 3.6 base/3.7 turbo quad core Xeon Platinum costs $7007. The Gold version costs $1221. The Silver and Bronze lineups don't have a single chip with a base clock over 2.6GHz.

How does one conquer the problem of WhatsApp (among other apps) notifications not arriving some times?
I had this problem on Marshmallow (CM13), and I still have it on Nougat (LineageOS). I've always had battery optimization turned off for WhatsApp.
On Marshmallow I "solved" it by using a Tasker plugin to check if WhatsApp process was running and notifying me when it died for whatever reason. This doesn't work on Nougat, because that Tasker plugin just sits there doing nothing at all.
The app appears to be alive and running (i.e. doesn't launch from zero like it's been completely dead) but notifications arrive only after opening it.
What do?

Hi /g/ I dropped my phone in the toilet yesterday and peed on it bc I didn't realize it had dropped in there. I would say it was in the toilet for less than 30 seconds. Took it out of the Otterbox case it was in, wiped it down with a towel, and then placed it in a big bowl of uncooked rice. I forgot to turn it off but I think it turned itself off because I tried to turn it off about 30 minutes after putting in the rice and it was already off. This morning I moved it into a ziplock bag bc I read that was better. If I live it in the bag for 24 hours how likely will it be to work?
