I read someone managed to compile the OS in last thread. Can you update the guide?
CloverOS can have my full support, for what it's worth it.

I want one of those new model F keyboards, but the lack of macros is turning me off.
>>
>>61441763
Just slap an xwhatsit in it or an old model. Actually, don't those new ones already use that?

xwhatsit capsense utility 9.0 lets you set as many Macros as you want.

I need help finding the cheapest PC I can either build or buy, within the budget I have of 300-400 dollars, any suggestions? I haven't built a PC, should I have one built for me?

Pic unrelated

>>
>>61480806
At that budget anything you build would be trash compared to a used prebuilt with a Sandy Bridge CPU in it and a refurbished GPU.
>>
>>61480838
How much would that cost?

I'm just looking for something to play most source games on, nothing too powerful, my current PC runs games at an average 20 fps, I just want something that runs it at 50 or 60

Can we make a coalburner registry? We can partner with /pol/, and it will be /g/'s first successful project.

As soon as it starts picking up, we will all realize just how many their are in ratio to non-coalburners and we will all probably kill ourselves

What exactly is a distro, really? Is it the scripts to install the kernel and the userspace? What besides that do you need to make your own distro, assuming you take another distro's package manager?

it's like a Race of linux. Just make sure you pick a race that isn't treated like shit on a daily basis.

a distro is an arrangement of packages and configurations for them backed by a promise to maintain and improve that exact configuration.

is it time for a new epic /g/ project ?

Even if it was FOSS, I don't see a good reason to have all of my appliances networked.
>>
>>61479639
if it's foss and hooked to a self hosted server you don't have to worry about botnet spying on you since you've basically botneted yourself

I have a ton of vidya that I haven't finished and I want to make Let's Plays as a motivator to finish them. Is pic related a safe bet?
12 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
For fucking what?
>>
pic related is ONLY useful if you have a way to split the video and audio to tv and pc because the usb and pc processing delay is like half a second

makes it almost unplayable. these things are usually made to digitize from old stuff like camcorders or vhs players

bought one a few years ago, not great but it can get the job done. The software it comes with can be sorta shit but for >$10 you can't complain. See other anon's comment about splitters.

well my laptop has been saying for the last 2 weeks or so operating system not found and i have been trying to fix it but it hasent worked but today i started it up and it started doing this loading thing and it has been doing it for 20 minutes and i was wondering if that just means it is loading in my harddrive because i recently dusted off my harddrive just to make sure

>>
>>61478818
Nope, this isn't fixed.

You either have a bad hard drive or a bad installation of Windows on the laptop.

If you run into problems, it's most likely a faulty hard drive.
>>
/g/ is not a tech support forum.

That said, odds are you've got a failing hard drive.

I want to track my eyes with my webcam and make a heatmap recording of it. I thought it would be easy, but not really.
I downloaded OGAMA and connected with GazeTracker, then I calibrate. However when I press "Record" it gives an error "No incoming tracker data"

Who can help me out here?

(the aim is to watch straight porn and find out if I am gay by tracking if my eyes look more at the dick or the pussy)

Just tried this demo. It ''works'' and its cool to see a real time heat map, but the accuracy is about 2% so practically useless.
