When the BSOD occurs with memory management if it's caused by hardware failure what's the usual culprit? I just reformatted with a clean copy of windows 7 -'d am still getting this BSOD when trying to install 179 windows updates.
what database software does /g/ typically use or encounter? what do you like or dislike about said software?
I made a thread a few weeks ago and explained that I had been using MS Access in a virtual machine to import giant 1-1.5GB .csv files. Some of you rightfully berrated me for this, and I have since moved onto using sqlite which was actually very easy to learn how to use and has performed significantly better than Access.
I thought this was only for Windows 10 S, just got it in Windows 10 Pro.

reddit is down, what do I do now?
Lets list some of the computer related subreddits you follow, no need to be ashamed anon.
My favourite is /r/hardware
It's like /g/ but without the shit
What's your favourite subreddit anon? :3
is it because their architecture is better than windows NT?
So, I disassembled a broken hard drive for safe disposal.
I took out the platters and scratched them with a pick.
Now, can I throw them in the recycling bin?
What other parts can I throw into the recycling bin?
Or, do I have to take them to a special electronics recycling place?
So you know for the future, this belongs in /sqt/.
Don't throw any of it in a recycling bin. Keep the magnets and just chuck the rest. If you're super paranoid about your data, keep the platters. Use them as mirrors that don't instantly break when you drop them. Or smash them and then throw it out.
That's ewaste. It goes in a special place at your local landfill. You could also probably take it to a computer store and they'll recycle it for free/cheap.
While you faggets are struggling with fuzzbutts in Ruby this 10 year old kid programmed an arcade game in assembly.
You faggets will never recover from this. ETERNALLY BTFO'd.

Is 4k really the future?
Can the average consumer even tell the difference between 1080p and 4k?
Even if they can, Will they care?
4 TV's are already pretty cheap, you can get one easily on Black Friday. How are people even asking this question still? I see even poorfags with decent sized 4k TV's. It's difficult for AAA games to run at native 4k but for everything else it's fine.
the call that saved /g/
Any of you boys make a pi phone?
Is it worth it?
Just wanted to give heads up: if the majority /g/ hates a piece of software or hardware—it's probably good. Literally that's about all I've learned in my year here. It's like a lot of you guys care more about being a special snowflake than using the most effective/efficient way to get things done. I think the problem is that most of these opinions are coming from hobbyists, and not professionals.

Help me pick out a headset between $50-75, /g/.
The only thing I ask for is reasonable comfort, and ending in a 3.5mm jack, since I want to use this with my Xbox and my PC.
