Does 10GbE work over Cat 5e?
No. You need Cat6 for short runs and Cat7 for long ones.
>>61395656
Why not?
>>61395667
Cat5e's twist rate is too low to handle the signals. It's an electrical thing, not any kind of manufacturer scam.
There is nothing else better

WI-FI extender
Hi I'm looking for a WiFi extender right now I have netgear3700. Gets the job done but im looking for something stronger. Any ideas ?
Use a powerline adapter instead. To hell with trying to overcome distance or walls.
>>61394581
I'm getting the wifi from my friend two floors up. And I need something to boost the speed. Powerline is not my thing

Ohhhh I'm sorry, I misunderstood. My apologies.
The thing you're looking for is "a job." Get your own fucking WiFi you greedy leech.
Is the Linux curve similar to buying AMD? They are similar
>Use Windows for everyday use
>After years of /g/ advocating Linux decide to install it
>Actually pretty good, seems to offer so much for less
>Some features though are lacking, but they will be fixed soon
>Just have to... Wait...
>Oh hey the new version is out
>Buggy as shit, fails all expectations, waited for fucking nothing
>Nothing ever really works
>Go back to Windows and forget Linux
>Use Intel for years
>After years of /g/'s AMD shilling buy AMD
>On paper it looks very promising
>Performance is a bit poor and crossfire is buggy, but they will patch those problems
>Just have to... Wait....
>Performance never picks up
>Maybe the next model.... /g/ is hyping it so much and it looks promising
>It never actually rivals Intel/Nvidia
>Go back to Intel/Nvidia for best performance
I've done a few internships in San Francisco so I've I'm pretty aware of base salaries in the bay area for NEW GRADS. Generally speaking I think I could expect 120k base and then a varying comp package based on the company. In fact this is what I've been offered by two companies (give or take 5k / year).
I'm wondering if any Seattle anons could tell me what is a reasonable new grad salary in their area. HR for this one company is trying to convince me that the equivalent of 95k in Seattle is 120k in the bay area. Based on what I can find about post tax income and cost of living, this seems true. However, I see the average salary i Seattle is 106k.
TLDR; Seattle folks: what's a good base salary for a new grad in your area?

Full stack software engineer I guess. With an accumulated 2.5 years of internships.

What are your thoughts on wireless earphones? I just bought these:
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Headphones-Lightweight-Connection-Sweatproof/dp/B01N6DC2ZE/
And I'm really enjoying them so far. They're not very bulky at all and the battery seems to last ~8 hours. They also pair instantly if I turn them on while I have bluetooth active on my phone (iPhone 6).
Anyone have other recommendations? Thoughts?

Your post reads like nothing more than an advertisement by Anker. This is bad and you should feel bad.
