im not normally on here but i have a question and i hope someone here could answer it.
I will be purchasing a new laptop, and im hoping to get something simple but something that can run linux smoothly. i will mainly be programming and browsing the internet on it, maybe playing some oldschool runescape here and there but thats about it. preferably if the laptop could run Windows 7 if I one day changed my mind, that would be good to.
my budget is only about 650$ USD so anything under that please.

Why is it so bad and what are some decent free alternatives to it?
I don't mean something on par with Photoshop, I've already come to terms with the fact that I'll never find anything even close to it in the free world, but a free alternative that at least isn't a massive steaming pile of dogshit.
