5 years ago I was enthusiastic about PC Hardware. But between Miners running GPU prices up over a hundred dollars of RRP,
Intel having a monopoly on the CPU market, AMD just coming short of finally catching up,
Microsoft relentlessly trying to make more money off of their windows platform however they think they can
And RAM prices still just being fucking stupid for no god damn reason, I've gotten pretty depressed about the whole thing.
It sucks when your hobby is controlled by shitty corporations.
Will things get better? Or are we going to just keep getting fucked over until there isn't a market to fuck over anymore?

How long before computer programming becomes restricted knowledge unattainable to the common layman?

It's clear that general purpose computers won't exist in 30 years.
The only computers available to the public will be locked down thin internet clients for your social media and media streaming.
Local storage will be a thing of the past, and you will be expected to keep paying money to store your own data FOREVER.
Hobbyists will all drive up the price of old fashioned computers from the turn of the millennium because they will still support GNU/Linux and don't have some future version of SecureBoot that literally prevents you from running arbitrary code on your thin internet client.

How long before we all become literal cyberpunks?

Hey /g/,
So I'd like to sell 2 HDDs, 1 SSD, 1 Android Phone and 1 Flash card on ebay or something similair.

My problem is that there is personal data on all of them.
So, what programs could I use that make file recovery impossible?
I know CCleaner has an option to write trash data again and again, but I'd rather have something that's bootable thus not requiring any OS.
And yes, I know writing trash data on SSDs and flash cards will decrease their lifetime, so is there another option?
What would you recommend?

Why is Apple so superior? Apple > other brands, be it PC, phone or tablet.

The inferior companies with their shit phones and OS's have fooled you into thinking that you are smarter than anyone for having to customize the shit out of them, play with registry settings, pimp the security and many other disgusting and time wasting things when in fact an Operating System should work perfectly right from the start.

When you're a child, then yes, you might want to dabble into these shit OS's like Windows and Android, just to exercise your curiosity, but if you are a grown ass human being, then you want a reliable, mature OS that gets shit done without your constant intervention, one that allows you to be efficient and start working ASAP!

This is where Apple shines.

I've successfully rooted my phone, installed system app remover, but not all the apps that cam pre-installed are showing up. Google fucking maps isn't there. I've been trying to remove it forever.

How should I go about removing bloatware and pre-installed shit? What is safe to remove without royally fucking up your phone?
