Hell yeah, right next to Bell's satellite service, and MTS Ultimate TV. As someone with a relative with Bell satellite who's on Shaw at home, it makes me jelly.
Quite honestly buying out MTS was the best thing Bell could've done even with all the screaming people were doing because of "muh cellphone rates". I can't wait.

Not really a tech guy, but I've tried to upgrade my PC anyway, but found myself at my wit's end.
I was told the best thing to upgrade first was the RAM. So, the first thing I did was observe the chip that was already in there, which I found was the DDR3 chip (in the slot 1 for some reason?)
I put it in slot 3 and then proceeded to order the parts I needed.
The DDR4 chip was easy enough to get, I got it at a local computer retailer.
The DDR2 and DDR1 chips were harder to find, I had to purchase them off of eBay.
None of the chips fit, initially (I did have some luck with the DDR2 chip after removing the groove on the memory chip slot, but the DDR1 and DDR4 chips won't go in.
The DDR1 chip might have warped in transit which could explain why it wont fit but the number 4 ddr chip is brand new and it doesnt fit either.
Can someone tell me what to do?

You use Mac for-

Windows you use for

>school computers
Linux, on the other hand, exists only for these principle reasons

And those don't sound like what makes OUR tech community so great. Take a hint from the winning side and dump on Linux.

I imagine they were much more useful in the 1990s when people had shit internet and passing around CD-ROMs was much faster than waiting to download and burn your own copy and meanwhile you could install and talk linux with other nerds like you.

Almost none. I inherited this one and it's slowly dying. We actually do get the occasional person who needs help with a broken install or comes when we have a talk on a specific topic we're interested in. We also have several servers installed in university racks that we teach people how to use and administrate, to get them familiar with using the terminal and shared server environments. Occasionally we host companies, and from connections with alumni it can be a good way to get a job if you're skilled. We do have grad students come give talks which is good, had someone give us a mind blowing lecture on cellular networks that got down into the EM and field shaping aspects as well as the high level dataplane.
Sadly we're subsumed by the video game development club, which is full of alienware wielding html5 shitting kids. There are also a large amount of members in the security club, but judging by what I've seen in them, the security kids with actual skills are either in the lug or no clubs at all.
The short answer for ours is more or less that it's a general technology club that focuses on technical topics above the physical layer.

So I know incognito mode doesn't hide all aspects of your browsing from the law or your ISP, duh. However I was looking at some jewelry gift ideas for my girl friend in incognito mode yesterday and when I logged onto my face book today I saw all 3 of the things I looked at the most right there in an ad. How did that data get pulled and what can I do in the future to hide all of it?

I am a student.
Had a shitty laptop that broke down.
Don't play any games except for sims, telltale games and skyrim.
Most of the time have 30 tabs open. Because my studies require a lot of research. This is an important part.
Plus i don't want it to bee too heavy and it has to last at least 8 hours.
So that I could bring it to UNI.
I need it to be able to connect to the printer. And I use windows office. Therefore I can't buy chromebook.
My price range is 250£ for a shit pc that will be good at only MS office and browsing opera/chrome.
Or a bit better pc that will run moded skyrim too. Maybe photoshop. 450£
Don't have time to do a proper research because I am working all the time to afford a pc. Finally got some money now.
