I own a 2nd gen 8GB and a 4th gen 64GB. Even that is not enough space for my entire library and I've had to trim a lot off to put new music on. I have a 64GB Moto G5 coming which can support up to a 256GB micro SD. Between the internal and the SD card I should have enough space now. Only issue is finding a decent music app for Android. I liked the layout on the ipod touch. Most of the apps on Android were a bit of a mess, it was very clunky to search for songs which. They have foobar2k on Android now, I'll probably give that a try.
>>
Because I use an iPod for music and picked up a 7th gen Classic for $160 a couple years ago and holy shit it came with 160gb storage instead of 32gb before OS and formatting. Fuck that.

You need to basically bend light around you. Invent some meta material that allows that and wrap yourself into it.

That's like calling all types of icecream shit because someone decided to put ketchup on the bowl you ate.

Find a better distribution.

They're just ligatures, they don't actually change the character, only the way it's rendered.

The fonts are designed for programming (Hasklig is a Source Code Pro fork for Haskell nerds).

Despite being the industry leader on innovation and aesthetic of everyday electronic devices, there has NOT been A SINGLE FRIGGIN CASE, putting Apple on malpractice of user data. NOT A SINGLE data privacy violation, NOT A SINGLE evidence of baking in backdoors and STELLAR record of privacy. Whole business model is based on PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET. No freemium services offered like competitor to milk sweet user data. Almost autistic caution for encryption, handled in background without the user even noticing it, let user be a teenager bright as an 8-ball, or an opsec nut. All of this while developing(/innovating) industry leader solutions for instant messaging, data transferring, licensed media purchasing, multi device backup/restoring, music making, virtual reality, and electronic payment. DONE. WITH. ABSOLUTE. FUKIN. PRIVACY.

So remind me /g/, is your weatherized second hand computers made of smelly plastic, coupled with broken by design hobbyist oses, dragged by you to this century to lull yourself into false sense of absolute privacy REALLY worth missing all of this (rightfully paid) services and elegant hardware that is,will and always just work?

Ever wonder why google chrome takes 2.5GB to show you 10 open tabs?
Friendly reminder that Google Chrome, Chrome OS, Google Home Suite (incl. Chromecast OS) and many other complete software products are intertwined with the core Chromium codebase.
When you run Google Chrome, not only are you running a web browser, you're running a psuedo-virtualized instance of Chrome OS within your operating system because chrome depends on chrome os for lots of userspace things including drawing it's own message boxes, providing it's own font rendering, rendering it's own window effects, hardware accelleration etc.
This is all in defiance to whatever defaults your desktop environment provides.

If you want help:
>Assemble your parts list
https://pcpartpicker.com/
>State the budget for your build (and country if not the USA)
>List games/software you use often, as well as your monitor resolution + refresh rate
>Clarify your goal for build improvements: lower price or improved specs?
How to assemble a PC, select components & more (kind of outdated)
https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php?title=Build_a_PC

CPUs:
No i5 unless discounted
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R5 1400 - Cheapest quad core you can get (Ryzen 3 soon)
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>i7 7700k - Only for 144hz
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming

GPUs:
Coin miners have driven price up and stock down, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - 1080p@60~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - 1080p@80hz maxed, 1440p@60hz at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 - 1080p@130hz /1440p@60hz at high
>GTX 1080 - 1080p@144hz / 1440p@60hz maxed, 4k@60hz in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - 1440p@144hz and 4k@60hz maxed/high in many games

RAM:
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen CPUs benefits a lot from high speed RAM

General:
ALWAYS LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS!
Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
The Ryzen lineup comes with surprisingly good stock coolers. consider using them over any <$30 cooler.

My computer cuts power completely and stays powered off until I power him back on (this happens while gayming and after replacing my R9 270X with and RX 480).

Is it the power supply? I have a VS 550 (I know, it's shit quality) and a 6600k.

iphone if you want your experience to be simple, don't plan on connecting your phone to a PC, and want synchronicity for all users. Android if you want to purge most google services by rooting and downloading a custom ROM, or if you like abandonware apps from google like Duo and Allo.
