Honor 6x gets some pretty beast SoT for an embedded battery.
Asides from EMUI, really good phone t b h
Why can't I find any place online that sells Opus music?
Why would you buy lossy music you moron? Like the other guy said, buy FLAC then transcode to whatever you want.
That aside, I think the standard lossy format has been won by AAC (the new MP3), and of course the real MP3 which might die off. Opus is obviously superior but it feels a lot more niche. Just transcode
So you know forth is the best programming language, right?
Basic is the best programming language.
You can squeeze it in 4KB, it tells you the line you are, it's easier to understand, and have powerful branching tools like goto and gosub.
Hey /g/, I'm looking for a new laptop for University, I want at least 8gb of ram, I prefer intel but if you find an AMD one that's good, recommend that too.
Its mainly going to be used for school work, and a little bit of small video games (Binding of Isaac, Rocket league). I can run the games on low, I don't really care.
Why doesn't apple use amd cpu's?
You know how there is that new fembot that has a preprogrammed voice to pretend like you are raping her? Do you think there will be a male version of that that attacks/sexually abuses you. I bet that model will exist and will be popular.
This is the smallest computer in the world. The Michegan micro mote. It is solar powered and is as powerful as a commodore 64.
ITT: Mobile apps (applications) that are better than their GNU/Linux/Windows/OSX desktop alternatives/counterparts.
Do you think there will be a time where there will a market for building your own phone? Sites like PC part picker have made it easier and easier to build a PC. Do you think there will be one for phones one day? Any of you don't do you think there will be a time that building your own phone would be a plausible option?
Probably not considering phones are aimed at the normie market and manofacturers can make bank with jewish practices like soldered components instead of modular designs
Oh is your battery not the same in your 2016 model? well we just released the 2017 model my friend only $799 or (((free))) with a 2 years contract
Alright, I'm going to build a freeNES. Is there any glaring flaws with this build? I'm hoping to get 2 of the HGST drives with one running as a backup of the other. Is the Pentium going to be fine for just simple file transfers with the drives running ZFS?
Old thread is autosaging so here we are.
If you want help:
>Assemble your parts list
>State the budget for your build (and country if not the USA)
>List games/software you use often, as well as your monitor resolution + refresh rate
>Clarify your goal for build improvements: lower price or improved specs?
How to assemble a PC, select components & more (kind of outdated)
No i5 unless discounted
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R5 1400 - Cheapest quad core you can get (Ryzen 3 soon)
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>i7 7700k - Only for 144hz
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming
Coin miners have driven price up and stock down, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - [email protected]~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - [email protected] maxed, [email protected] at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 - [email protected] /[email protected] at high
>GTX 1080 - [email protected] / [email protected] maxed, [email protected] in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - [email protected] and [email protected] maxed/high in many games
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen CPUs benefits a lot from high speed RAM
ALWAYS LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS!
Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
The Ryzen lineup comes with surprisingly good stock coolers. consider using them over any <$30 cooler.
For just 1920x1080 gaming probably not unless you can get a deal on one. Or you know you want to play some game that needs a 1070 to play on maximum quality. All the prices are still a bit fucked up due to crypto mining.
>Open Dailymotion video
>Computer hard crashes
>motherboard flashed with malware
What are some fun computer projects to do while bored?
I enjoy encoding. There are a ton of interlaced videos out there that only have 30fps encodes and could use an upgrade to 60fps. Learning to use QTGMC doesn't take all that long.
What is the next big programming language for retards who jump from one language to another?
I think Elixir, Elm, Swift, and Julia are on the short list. What other languages are going to be the next circle-jerk language?
Is it still viable to run Windows 2K in 2017??
at first I was going to say no, or at least don't get on the internet with it, but after some reflexion, it seems the answer is more nuanced.
a lot of updated software will run on XP, but not on 2000, so you may have to find some older version of stuff.
security-wise, it's not patched anymore. this begs the question: does anyone make malware or exploits specifically targeting it anymore? XP exploit that don't work on patched XP might work on 2000.
at least use a firewall and some anti-virus (if you can find one that is current)
I run it in a vm at around 4ghz regularly. Offline of course.
does anyone make malware or exploits specifically targeting it anymore?
There are a lot of servers using 2k era windows server.
