There's literally no reason your computer should be able to run illegal software. If you're complaining about how Android users can sideload criminal tools, that just highlights a flaw that Google needs to fix.
Once Microsoft drops Win32 and all software is distributed via app stores, the world will be a better place.

let's see how long the article lasts before it 404s after apple makes a contribution to NYT

Communism does not work, therefore it does not exist, therefore nothing can be communism that's working.
Or are you implying that communism could work, you fucking commi?
>>61622361
Piracy is capitalism: The natural market price of something that isn't scarce naturally goes to zero.
For non-pajeets, is a degree in Computer Science or a degree in Computer Engineering better?

The med school ill be attending uses examsoft, and from what I've seen its not very stable on windows.
That being said I cant really handle the stress of my fucking exam crashing and taking my grades down with it, and I need the long battery life
However, I dont really like macos, it's pretty counterintuitive to me and I really hated using the iMacs in my undergrad.
So my plan is to leave a small macos partition just for examsoft, and have arch installed with my regular i3 workflow.
But which Mac would be the best for this? The air seems (like op says) to run Linux pretty much ootb, and if the current Apple line up it has the best keyboard. The screen didn't suck to me when I tried it out irl but then again my main machine is an x200.
Is buying an old macbook pro risky? It looks like a 2015 one is the same price as a new fully specced air, but I'm afraid of the battery not having full capacity. Also not sure of the Linux compatibility.
Any Applefags willing to help?

No I'll never use any of it

Why doesn't Windows 8.1 give me the option anymore to keep both files and name one of them File (1)? I thought I upgraded my operating system, but a feature is missing.
file(1) and file(2) is too hard
gotta keep it simple, op. we're not all super-nerds, you know

I have vps where I have encfs directory.
When I want to access it I mount the crypted directory with sshfs to local machine and locally decrypt mount crypted directory.
Not sure how good this is but in case somebody gets access to the vps or can read the packets it's only crypted data they can see.
Kind of redundant in that ssh always is crypted.
Can I export nfs directory in server and have some kind of key file authentication? As far as I know the only way you can limit who can mount nfs export is by ip.
Just bought a OnePlus 5 to replace my 2.

Only recently we're reaching 40Gbps levels over copper write.
TB4 will close that gap significantly at 80Gbps, they will probably move to optical mixed with copper wires.
