Since everyone's busy shitposting about Vega, I'd also personally get a 16 core with 3.0GHz clocks simply because they're way more energy efficient than the 3.6GHz ones, and that's plenty of fucking cores either way.
INTEL IS FINISHED AND BANKRUPT
>cars keys are technology
considering that SD cards has been a 1000 times more efficient over a decade, then why haven't they been able to come up with a car key that can combine todays standards with the size and convenience of a pre war car key?

How do you suggest fitting a battery into something the size of a thin key?

This thread is about the appreciation of horology, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch, clock, or other timepiece.

How do you think it'll happen? Full-on genocide by AI, or a more gradual overtaking to the point where humanity is just not needed anymore?
That being said, the more I think about it, maybe the former is for the best? I mean, without trying to sound like too much of a hippie, haven't we as a species fucked up enough already?
It would almost be neat to see how humanity would react to not being at the top of the food chain anymore, and by our own hubris too!
>>61602516
Either one is good. Humanity needs to be stopped at this point.

Ha, nevermind. Ad blockers apparently make that website nearly unreadable.
I'm trying to make a simple node app with an express backend and vue frontend, but I'm not sure about the best way to structure it. I want to use es2016+ shit which means I need to transpile the backend with babel, but I also need to build the frontend with webpack. What's the best way to make it all play nice?

Why aren't you using Bitchute based on open source torrent protocol instead of youtube?
https://www.bitchute.com/
>>61641044
never heard of it. thanks for shilling it here, though.

Youtube will fall eventually.
The service is ultra democratic. If some video is shit, nobody but the author will seed it.
>>61641044
Are you the founder or something? Anyways it looks nice, and I like the idea so I hope it succeeds even though it probably won't.
I got a NAS recently basically to use as a media server.
Other DLNA devices/software is recognizing the NAS, WMP and my smart TV have no issues.
I've tried uninstalling, using several different version of VLC, etc.
What gives?

I've been playing with my Arduino and some lego blocks all day, setting up LCD screen, distance sensor, the ethernet shield, it's fun. But the moment I have to deal with some thing more complex, something that requires resistors n' stuff, I'm completely lost.
Could any anons well versed in the language of magical pixies suggest to me some resources for learning from scratch?
I really want to have a decent understanding of how electricity behaves.
(Pic not mine, but pretty much what I play with)
I guess this seems like an obvious candidate, but I want more about fundamentals of electricity.
I was thinking that this might be good:
https://archive.org/details/MIT8.02S02
But it seems like it requires more physics fundamentals than i have.
Do I have to start with general physics before moving on to electricity?
>>61640013
Try google friend.
Also read the sticky and install gentoo
Hmmmm, maybe I should have asked this on /sci/.
Sorry.
>tfw get amazing tech job over other applicants who are obviously smarter than me but I had better social skills and won over the interviewers kek
How does it feel to be a socially awkward disgusting slob /g/?
>>61639788
dunno man, will see during interview once I've graduated.
I am pretty much the same.
I am not a bad programmer but I have friends who are much stronger programmers who can't get through interviews at comparable companies due to social skills.
That being said, they would not have been able to keep these jobs had they gotten them. The level of programming at most software jobs is not that high compared to the level of collaboration.
This is actually a very important aspect of landing a job that many applicants don't consider. You can be a programming god but if you apply for a position which requires team work to some extent, you're basically screwed if the best conversation you can do is by thanking someone when they greet you.

Can I get spied even when using a VPN or is it absolutely impossible?
For example lets say my modem and router both got hacked, the dns got changed and now they are using some dark dynamic dns that gives full remote access to all devices to the attacker.
If I use a vpn on my phone under this Orwellian scenario, am I still safe?
