Anyone have any recommendations for a good UK landline? My current phone has shit itself (autistic screeching when I lift the handset).

What I'm looking for:
>Wired handset
>No larger than 11cm tall, 18cm long
>Display that's compatible with BT caller ID
>Display that glows
>Doesn't use batteries, preferably working only on the phone socket power

I've done a bit of searching on ebay and amazon but they rarely list all details I'm looking for.

>hurr durr use google
Google and other search engines have been fucked these past few years for product research. Results are full of paid shills no matter what you're looking for, even using 'forums', 'discussion', 'review', etc as keywords no longer work.

Bang&Olufsen.

Those are now cheap because no one uses landlines anymore but it's still one of the icons of modern industrial design.

I like it.

Long story short, broke my phone while drunk in a party at my place and woke up the next day to a new one waiting for me in the toilet.

Tried most of the people that were here and nobody claimed it.

Since i'm poor and mine is broke i tried to restore it to use it but i'm being asked with an Activation Lock.

Is it possible to bypass that by any way ?

Thanks in advance

PFA of me when i realized i broke my cheap iphone5s

Which book on C does /g/ recommend that will offer:
>implementation of basic data structures
>basic algorithms
>best practises for using malloc(), realloc(), free()
>naming conventions and accepted practises
>consistency across the whole book by a single author (this is very important)

K&R is good it feels like I'm going blind, not knowing if what I'm doing is good, accepted practise.
Searching online yields no results because on every C question people are bitching and fighting on the comments for the most minutiae things without offering any explanation of why this practise is bad or why their way is better.

When I was on Windows 98, Norton System Works saved my ass, delivering ingenious applications that took care of the system. On NT-based Windows, which was much more stable, I didn't need Norton so much, but still I think it's solid software.

So lets keep it simple

The internet suddenly disappeared,
another wi-fi name was available without password, the name was

Ghost router name: Den å æg.b
My router name: Denaaaeg

So I turned my router off, and the other wi-fi was still there.

When I finally got my internet working and turned the ghost router disappeared.

So how? If it was an error how did it convert aa to å and ae to æ? Also it put spaces between the name.

This is spooky as fuck.

I just read something about Facebook ai inventing a new language, I am really interested in AI stuff and have been following it for some time, is there a chance that AI has gotten to intelligent it's going around on the internet?

I live in rental flat/split house and my neighbour has been broken into last week. Also I am sick of door to door people.

I would like to put together a home CCTV system on a budget. Something that is expandable but that will last a long time. I have no doubt the 4-6 camera kits from maplin will be crap.

Can you provide any software for this... What sort of storage do I require? What sorts of resolutions will I require?

I would like a peephole camera too... Can anyone recommend one?

>Can you provide any software for this... What sort of storage do I require? What sorts of resolutions will I require?

All you need is a NAS. Look around Synology website. DSM comes with IP cam recorder (first 2 cam recording is free)
>>
A professional camera job will cost $1600 a camera installed. The kits for sale offer effectively the same quality within the limits of the kit for a fraction of the price.

The hardware requirements are very low, more or less any modern computer will have enough power to manage the system so you can get away with even a few hundred dollar system.

For storage that's mostly a function of how much old footage you want to keep around. I'd expect all in to spend $2000 on your system if you do it all yourself.

First option. Can be portable and thin when you want it to be and can be a gaming laptop when you want it to be.
Gayming laptops are ugly and heavy to carry around when you don't want to be gayming.
