i told you
i know this is a 99% meme board.
Let me put this straight:
most people dont fucking care about using GNU+ linux or BSD or whatever fucking dark distro with only text and no color and no soul, you know why? because some people need to record audio in fucking high quality, then split it, then mix it. Some people need to make blueprints of very complex things and cant waste fucking time with shitty ports of 90`s CADs, some people need smooth graphic animations, so they use after effects, some people need a fucking software that works out of the box, because their life relies on important things. Only a fucking autistic fag cares so much about a fucking close window button, only an autistic fag cares about your distro beign capable of put fucking buttons on the left or right, you know why? because in the end it fucking doesn´t matter. Look at all your threads about desktops, shitty windows, shitty wallpapers and a fucking waifu.
i took all this meme board bait, im tired and done of this fucking board. Technology is about doing useful things, programming threads are valuable, but people, come on, desktops? arguing about aesthethics on LINUX? kys.

I asked on /lit/ a few weeks ago about books to learn Python not knowing anything about programming and also looking to apply that knowledge to GIS. The responses were to look at docs.python and Automate the Boring the Stuff. I believe in their responses, but I was also reffered to /g/.
The wiki is down right now, am I good in learning Python with what I have been recommended, what would you add?
Python Crash Course then Python Cookbook then Fluent Python
The best book I've read on Python is "Diving into Python 3". Notice the "3". For heaven's sake learn 3.x. Python 2 is outdated and hindering future development of the language.

Any /g/ayfag bought into Acer? I never trusted the brand (most experience was with shitty sub-500 usd acers tough)
Now I'm looking for a laptop and pretty much the only thing that fits my criteria is the Acer V Nitro Black Edition.
-Sober looks
-GTX 1060
-Les than 1500
Should I pull the triggy?
"the virgin laptop"

Go for it but backup all drivers before you change or upgrade botnet OS. In 2 years acer will stop hosting the drivers.

Why are android users so insecure about iPhone?
You never hear iPhone users talk shit about an android other than it lags but when you bring up the iPhone to an android user they talk for days about how their phone is "superior"
>why are indians, poor people, and legit autists so insecure?
gee i don't know
>>62445533
The pic you posted is an iPhone user talking shit about Android users.
I'm just amazed people pay Apples prices for a fucking phone with no expandable storage or user removable battery.
Okay /g/, I'll give you a chance: I'll dish OS10 in favor of Linux if you tell me there's a way to do all of the following in any Linux distribution:
>fetch a file from any drive connected/search for a webpage AND within the search bar have a side preview that allows me to see the content of such file/webpage
>change multiple file extensions at once trough a GUI, no scripts, no terminal usage required.
>third party support without the use of a virtual machine/wine
>individual package manager that won't brick your system if something goes wrong
>actually good and useful built-in programs
