I'm taking a C# class and I'm stuck
It's in Microsoft visual studio 2017
In the console app.net framework
How do I make it use a variable for an equation and display the answer
So like this
String HW
HW= 137
So how do I make the console app display the answer to 10.50 * HW?
use google

I've tried but it won't tell me what to write for the code
You can't multiply a string, silly.
/g/, how do you feel about the movement to get more people into programming?
In some US school districts, programming courses are mandatory parts of the curriculum.
Is coding an industry tool meant for people going into the industry, or is it a life skill that people need to know moving forward in a more technologically dependent world?
If so, will having more and more programmers devalue the work/wages of existing programmers?
I feel it's one of those subjects that many of those who're forced to study will bitch, moan, and do poorly in and then never utilise in their lives.
Although I do think anyone can learn to program I feel that you have to at least want to learn it in order to get yourself over the initial hurdles and gain any actual competency in it.

They're not learning how to program, they're learning popular languages like java or python to drive down wages of programmers.
You told me Chrome is botnet /g/. Why you lied to me?
Darin seems like a trustworthy fella, installing Chrome as we speak and signing in.
They're an ad company. Spying on you and lying to you is literally what they do.
>we don't track you goy trust us
Is getting an SSD worthwhile?
For a machine that only does development work and occasional content creation, would this provide any benefits?
>inb4 muh boot times
Doing a data transfer right now, I'll tell you when it finishes

>Just in less than 3 years microsoft will stop supporting windows 7.
I hope either microsoft will make a GOOD windows (Without over"idiotfriendliness" or privacy issues) or at least linux will become a decent os for gaming pc's.

That bar is so ugly
I'd rather have a full thin bezel like on the galaxy s8
>>62449446
Because it's designed by tim cook, who is a complete tard and his thinking is nothing steve jobs, who was the person behind apples success and inovation.

Robots are the future.
>It is a scenario that brings us one step closer to a robot-run world.
>Flippy, the artificial intelligence-driven robot that can 'cook the perfect burger every time,' will replace human workers in 50 CaliBurger restaurant locations in 2018.
>The California-based restaurant chain began testing the machine - fitted with a 6-axis robotic arm it uses to flip burgers and place them on buns - earlier this year.

I doubt the algorithm can determine of its medium rare so who gives a fuck. Another being that burns my burgers
Living in utopia where robots cook for you and you just fixing them or improving software its using is bad for /g/ collective mind?
Really makes you think.

Can't wait to see what niggers will do with them.
What do you guys think about the Brave Browser? Think it'll succeed?
>>62449209

Just bought pic related, it's perfect. Driver less (perfect Linux support I suppose) and DPI on the fly is great, didn't think it would be worth the money but it is.

So Qualcomm is making Neuromorphic chips now :
https://www.technologyreview.com/s/526506/neuromorphic-chips/
How far away are we from the Tech. Singularity?
What's your guess?
(Luddites please GTFO)
>Neuromorphic chips attempt to model in silicon the massively parallel way the brain processes information as billions of neurons and trillions of synapses respond to sensory inputs such as visual and auditory stimuli. Those neurons also change how they connect with each other in response to changing images, sounds, and the like. That is the process we call learning. The chips, which incorporate brain-inspired models called neural networks, do the same. That’s why Qualcomm’s robot—even though for now it’s merely running software that simulates a neuromorphic chip—can put Spider-Man in the same location as Captain America without having seen Spider-Man before.
>>62448382
>How far away are we from the Tech. Singularity?
Funny enough we were closer to it 3 years ago than we're now, academia isn't about academia anymore so the only true technologic progress is coming from private companies
>>62448458
>Funny enough we were closer to it 3 years ago than we're now
why?
China is determined to beat the US at AI
they're putting shitloads of money into it
you answered your own question
better colors, blacks and sharpness
downsides:
fucking heavy
power hungry
hot
