I recently installed windows 10 and am now plagued with update popups. I've tried deleting temp files from the settings menu but Windows just redownloads them again. How can I stop Windows from connecting to Microsoft's servers?

No Ryzen unless discounted, they have bad single-threaded performance and have hardcoded bugs at the moment.

Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
The Ryzen lineup comes with surprisingly good stock coolers. consider using them over any <$30 cooler.

I'm in Europe, know next to nothing about programming except the basics of HTML, CSS, C.

I want to learn a language that will get me hired in Europe.

Any suggestions ? I was looking into Swift as it looks like the demand for ios dev is exploding right now but I may be wrong (also I like the apple ecosystem).

Is there a point to owning a UMPC? /g/ shilling is making me want something of this factor just for out and about word processing when I don't want to carry a full laptop.

While whipping this thing out would be autistic, it is no worse than a keyboard and smartphone combo.
