I just got 1/2/3/4
Why doesn't anyone love me, yet? You promised me, /fit/
>>29238
The secret is, you gotta love yourself!
>>29238
You're maybe /fit/, but are you also /lit/?
How could anybody love you if you can't love yourself. Love yourself, the rest will follow.
Does listening to an audiobook count as reading a book? Uh.... do you listen to audiobooks at the gym?
>>28888
i listen to audiobooks while in the bus on my way to college
i can't focus on what is being said when lifting
where do you download your audiobooks, lad?
>>28942
>where do you download your audiobooks, lad?
Also interested.
Is there a thing like libgen but for audiobooks ?
>>28888
I listen to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History while running, but I can't focus on a book while lifting without missing key information and getting confused.
Lifting for curves
Is it possible for an apple shaped girl or any other unfortunate shape to become a thicc muscle girl? I've never seen it.
>>29280
Do a fucc ton of kettlebell swings for dat ass. As for tits, you need to change your hormones to redistribute fat from the midsection to the tits and ass. IDK exactly how that is done.
>>29280
yes there are a few examples but the only one i remember is linda durbesson
>>30059
this is linda now
>>29327
you do squats/deadlifts for dat ass, not kettlebell swings
>TFW almost finished editing my magnum-opus.

Something like that. Have you written anything that's been published before?

Zac Efron is a manlet too, at some point I don't think it matters a fuck
Stop this fucking meme about "uhhh translations are bad!!!!"
Someday, people will realize I have actually read Greek philosophy and the Bible. I seriously don't understand why people seem obsessed with me only reading translations. No one will have the time to read many things if they learn like all the languages if that's even possible. I am sure whoever asked me this never read Kierkegaard in Danish, Nietzsche in German, Tolstoy in Russian, or whoever people are talking about on /lit/. People who believe this are completely insane and have no understanding how literature works.
If this is what "enlightened people who read literature" is like, then I'd rather not be one of them. I am sick of people who think they "know" about literature and then harass booktubers for having "bad opinions" and "bad understanding" of literary history. Most of these people probably have never read literary criticism and understand how valuable other people outside academia and the internet are when it comes to creating a rich intertextual world. There is a reason I dislike people who read books because of these kinds of attitudes that are plain rude.
Anyway, people should read The Bible in the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek. 99.9% are awful people who haven't read The Bible in its truthful form according to this logic. I'm going to read "translations" and "things I like", something I consider more worthy of my time. The "smart" people can do whatever they wish, wasting their time on how I am so unfaithful to the Bible.
I'm not even Christian for god's sake... Indoctrinating me about how important the Bible is makes you sound like those annoying cultish Christians who knock on your door and ask you about what you think of God. Honestly, I think God must be laughing their ass off when they see this kind of shit. How is this even real?
This. Translations are pretty good as long as they're the right thing. Except for
>I'm not even Christian for god's sake.
Jesus loves you, anon
>>29058
You shouldn't not read them, you just need to understand you're not getting the full appreciation
Try reading Dante even if you don't speak Italian, it is aesthetic as fuck
You should never read English translations.
English is a horrible language without nuance or subtlety.

Why must /pol/ always be right?
1 year of isolated vs 5 months of compounds
8 months of both
>>29047
completely dependent on goals. Starting out, focus on compounds. After you "make it" you can start targeting in addition to your compounds.
Mixing both is good
While an isolation-only workout will guarantee exhausting all your targeted muscles, workouts take much longer and you do not improve things like balance or muscle coordination, you only get mass
On the other hand in compounds, usually dominant muscles get to do most of the work and they become exhausted before you can fully exhaust secondary ones, so if you do compounds only, it's possible that you might not be taking full advantage of specific muscles
that's why after compounds you begin isolating your muscles and exhausting them one by one, prioritizing trickier ones (calves, traps, forearms, triceps, etc)
So after reading 1984, I reccomended it to a friend of mine. He said "I didn't know you were communist." This sparked up lots of confusion as Orwell was Socialist, but the book presented INSOG to be a strange Socialism itself and the main characters to be strongly against that. So what are your opinions on the matter?
>>28440
Anti-authoritarian. Neither pro nor anti-communism. It is against the Stalinist brand of communism. Orwell himself might be described as a libertarian socialist. Just because you read and enjoy 1984 certainly doesn't make you a communist.
>>28440
Your friend is retarded. Not everything falls neatly into basic categories, nor does reading something make you anything. Indeed, you should be reading as wide literature as possible, to get a broader perspective and actually be educated in the notions you might oppose.
>>29072
This is a good answer.
>>28440
socialism != communism, even though they share a number of ideals
Also, Orwell got to see the spanish civil war first person, what do you think his opinions on fascism and communism would be?

Hey guys, whats a good alternative for OHP? I keep getting shoulder pain even when stretching and doing shoulder dislocate stretches so i'm looking to just get it out of my routine and find something just as efficient if possible. It's just so discouraging when I get the pain I want to quit lifting altogether. Any exercise would do. Please help me.
I get the pain in my right shoulder near the top of the lift just before the shrug. First couple reps I don't feel the pain then suddenly BAM, its like a snap
pls respond
>>29248
if you don't care about overhead strength and only want size, no need for direct overhead work
any horizontal press will hit front delts fairly hard anyway, just add in lateral raises for side delts
>>29389
How would this look?
A: Squat/Bench/Rows
B: Squat/Incline Bench/Deadlift
Would I still develop some decent strength for overhead lifts?
