1500 is pretty low unless you're living sedentary. I tried 1500 and pussied out to 2000, hoping I still have some level of weight loss from it.

working out and cutting hard at the same time can cause you to fatigue and give up because you will be challenging your body physically and then feeding it less when it needs to recover. I recommend eating a little more than 1500 and continuing exercise so you dont burn out! Unless you have the sheer willpower, go for it. But baby steps work too

Setting a too-strict calorie goal the first time is doomed to fail.
