Gym is small and crowded frequently, if you live in Athens I would recommend getting a membership at somewhere like the Omni Club instead of using the university gym.

The student population is not very athletic at all, most people are either frat bros or some form of hipster, neither of which cares much about fitness.

Well, i dont plan on using a gym outside of campus since the dorm I'm in is right next to Ramsey. What times is Ramsey not crowded?

Not really sure, only used it for a couple months because parking was bad. You just gotta feel what times are good, it can be a good gym if its not crowded, plenty of squat racks, benches, etc.

Also don't take Intro to Weight Training if you were thinking about it, it blows.

Some dude on /fit/ said before 4 PM and after 9PM was a good time to go lift at Ramsey. but im not sure how true that is, im gonna have to see.

Its awesome, great combo of college party life and UGA actually being a decent school. Athens is great if you're somewhat sociable and like partying every weekend.
