Bulking and cutting is way faster and more efficient than recomping when done right. And by right I mean gaining 2.2lbs a month, not just pigging out and gaining 50 lbs in a few months. There are tons of studies on this, recomping nets you about 3 lbs every 4 months, which is super slow considering your body under ideal conditions as a natty can put on about a kilo of lbm a month.
