I get these lumps in the exact same spot a couple times per year, on one or both sides of my jaw.

Deep below surface of skin
No mouth pain
It will get bigger than this
Thought it might be related to ingrown hair, so I haven't shaved in a year

What is?

Might be an abcess on a tooth. Go to a dentist/doctor. Down near the bottom of the mouth they can impact on the windpipe and end up killing you

Thats an abcess, You get infections and your body fights it for a long time, untill you get to that point in which you are right now. The abcess just got bigger,

Two options: root canal or remove kebab

If it's a molar and you can't afford the whole ordeal, go for removal, you can always put a fake one later. If you can afford it, go root canal and all, but keep in mind that once you get on that path you will end up removing it at some point or another.
