i'm too lazy to lift weights but running a couple miles is alright

am i a fag?
>>
Good luck living with a weak, average body.

i'm thinking of adding in some pushups/squats/crunches so i at least have a little definition.

but lifting weights is just too time consuming for a busy 4chan browser like myself.
>>
>>35184064
Keep making excuses.
You'll have no definition as your diet is shit and some pushups/squats/crunches are utter shit unless you plan on doing make sets with more varied exercises.
>>
>>35184091
my diet isn't shit.

i think you're lying.

i think if i run 1-2 miles every day and do some pushups/squats/crunches then i'll look and feel great without spending hours in the gym every day doing really hard stuff
>>
>>35184030
yes, a huge fag. and now I see you talking about getting toned and shit, like an average normie pleb
>>
>>35184160
you're just jealous because i'll be tone and you'll be spending hours in the gym every single day...

Nice b8 OP, enjoy your skeleton mode
>>
you are weak and your bloodline is weak
>>
as a skelly I did a lot of xc and track running in high school and only recently started lifting. i've found lifting a lot easier and more enjoyable. it does take longer but that's because half your time spent is resting doing nothing. running is intense, long and hard. i'd have to psych myself up to go on a long run because i knew it'd be gruelling. granted, i don't lift heavy at all, still a beginner. you should try it out before you discount it.

>am i a fag?
why do people talk like this?

Serious running is different than some husbandmode guy waddling on a treadmill or around his neighbourhood for 30 min. Most serious runners incorporate weights and basic strength training as well. A strength trained middle distance runner probably has the most appealing body type to most women desu.
>>
>>35184902
i doubt OP wants to be a serious runner so why does that matter?
>>
>>35185031
Running 1-2 miles does not make you a runner, it makes you a fan hag b8er. I just got back from 13.5km post work run and cooked a beast of a meal while doing pull ups watching the football. You can have it all.

I've been building up my running, started at 2k, and added a little bit each time, today i have my first 5k in 30min run with a half k warm up and cool down either side. I have been doing this on a treadmill, adding 1min to each run, and running at 10kph.

Going to start adding 0.1kph after today, eventually getting to 12kph so i'm running 6k in 30min. then I am thinking of adding some more time, building up another 10 mins of running so i'm running 8k in 40 mins. Is this a good plan or am i over reaching or under reaching?

Fair enough, they're good goals. I've found once you reach roughly 23 mins for 5km, getting beyond that is hard. I mean, really really hard. When it comes to running the main things are 1) make sure you have decent form and shoes, to minimise fucking joints up, and 2) alow recovery periods. Never run properly more than 3 times a week, you just don't need to and you'll do more harm than good. Also, running on treadmills sucks - I find it so boring! Though in theory it is better for you joints, I just find it too dull. Good luck anon
>>
>>35185255
Sounds like a good plan. 12kph is probably about right, if your just starting it might be a bit fast. I would say most days go that pace or slower but once a week put in a 85%+ effort and go as fast as you want for 30min.
