If humans were not meant to eat meat, why does literally every (100%) society on earth do it? If veganism is the natural default, why are there no vegan societies?

Because we've evolved to eat meat. It's natural selection. primates with a sharp set of teeth to dig into meat had an advantage over others because of the benefits of eating meat.

Fun fact: Your canines are off to the side to avoid biting your tongue. The genes of those who evolved sharper teeth in the front quickly died off as they would bite their tongue, causing infection and dying. I made that up but it's probably true.
