Does anyone on this board actually follow bodybuilding?
Who actually does follow bodybuilding? I mean there must be people who do
Gay men mostly
There are a bunch of those stupid fucks here.
Following IFBB is for fucking nerds and meatheads with no social life.
I know at least 3 on irc that creep manly girls on instagram.

Are there? There are almost never threads about pro bodybuilders, just "e-celebs"

When i first got into lifting a few years ago I did, now i just recognise a few names here and there.
The thing with bodybuilding is that the shows are so boring and so niche, most of the fun with bodybuilding is in the training.
"...bodybuilding is men on a stage in their underwear wearing brown paint showing other men their muscles. It is training for appearance only, and at the contest level requires a degree of vanity, narcissism, and self-absorption that I find distasteful and odd." --Rippletits
I watched Bigger Faster Stronger and Generation Iron. Pretty interesting.
I don't have any interest in aesthetic training, but it's without a doubt still something I respect. Kai Greene seemed like a pretty tragic story, I like watching CT fletcher's stuff on youtube and whatnot.

Is Generation Iron worth watching? The trailer kind of made me cringe. Pumping Iron was a good documentary because it was a look into what is really a pretty wacky subculture. Generation Iron appeared to be taking itself too seriously

It follows a bunch of different guys with different backgrounds. Poor kids who saw it as a way to make money, rich kids who love the attention, guys who have teams of scientists studying them, guys who do old school shit.
I enjoyed it.
this board is too busy doing amateur powerlifting and becoming future cripples instead of looking good, being healthy and continuing lifting into their old age

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy looking good and filling out a tshirt. I'm just not going to spend hours working on separation of individual strands of muscle to create a specific look.
I'm a firefighter. I am going through the SFAS training program to get ready for this summer.
