Hey /fit/,

I'm planning on losing a shit load of weight over the next year (340-350 pounds atm) to about 200-220 with a lot of muscle and not much fat. I know, good luck right...

Anyhoo, I vaguely remember a Greys Anatomy episode where a fat lady lost weight for a surgery, she went from fat to not quite so fat. The sudden weight loss made her heart weak somehow and she ended up almost dying.

TL;DR can you get serious health problems if you lose too much weight too quickly? ( I don't care about the skin thing right now)
>>
You can lose weight too quickly, throwing your body out of whack, causing excess strain on your organs (liver and heart specifically), which are already under a great deal of stress from the massive amount of weight it is working under, which can cause them to fail. Typically you die from cardiac problems or renal failure, or you can end up in a position where you are now working with less than you had before (body health-wise) which results in the person no longer desiring to lose weight, only to live a little longer.

Someone post that pic of the side who lost weight so fast his skin looks like popped bubble wrap

Unless you plan on goin on all kinds of gear, this won't be possible.

Oh you will

well that's highly worrying

what time frame should I be looking at then?

how did she go from left to right? or is she just holding it up
>>

100lbs next year, the rest the year after.
>>
>>35154941
>(340-350 pounds atm) to about 200-220
Might be possible in a year depending on how much you starve yourself
>with a lot of muscle
You won't be building much muscle while you're losing weight, and building muscle takes a lot more time than losing weight, so it depends on what you mean by "a lot of muscle" This could take years upon years.

Getting fat was the worst mistake of my life. Knowing I'll never have a shredded body with abs is suffering.

Holding most likely

Skin stretched that badly never goes away without surgery

This is why being obese is never okay. Your body will never return to what it should be. Even with surgery, former obese people still look terrible. They lose weight to survive not to look good
>>
>>35154937
as I said, not my biggest concern
>>
>>35154975
And as I said, it will be
>>
>>35154934
Losing 100lbs in a year is entirely possible. That's ~2lbs a week which is about the highest rate of weight loss a person can sustain but lots of people manage it.
>>
>>35154984
True, but he wants to lose 130-150.
>>
>>35154984
>That's ~2lbs a week which is about the highest rate of weight loss a person can sustain but lots of people manage it.

An obese person can lose 4lbs a week and still be fine. 2lbs a week is the limit for slightly overweight people.

While you weigh 300-250lbs you can lose 10-15lbs a month with no problem.

You'd have to do enough cardio to eat 120g protein, 120g carbs, minimal fats and still end up with a 1166 calorie deficit every day.

Take a multivitamin, avoid sugar, an sleep tons.

The hard part is that your TDEE will drop as you lose weight (did you know a pound of fat has 5miles of veins in it?) so you'll have to adjust.

It's easy once you get into it. Once you hit 220, you'll look like shit but then you want to maintain your weight and lift more an do less cardio
>>
>>35155007
>did you know a pound of fat has 5miles of veins in it?
The fact that fat needs blood is so weird
>>
>>35155003
He wants to lose all that weight and build lots of muscle in a year, which is why I said he needed to juice up. I don't get why you replied to me if you agreed it wouldn't be possible in that stretch of time.

>>
>>35154892
sounds like you're just fishing for excuses to not even try. just like fatties who haven't yet put down the fucking triple stack baconator from their fucking mouth posting here asking about all the loose skin they're gonna get from losing weight fast, as if losing weight at all is an easy thing let alone achievable in a short time frame
>>
>>35155015
Well fat is stored in cells just like any other cells, and those cells need nutrients to survive. The fat isn't just sitting around in blobs
>>
OP here,

no offence guys but the stuff you've told me is really depressing. I'm going to try and keep to 2 pounds a week and adjust my timeframe. so thanks for that.

I'll follow guides etc, but I think I'd rather wander in blindly to the future problems I'm going to have.

Welcome to /fit/
>but I think I'd rather wander in blindly to the future problems I'm going to have.
There is a 65% chance you'll die. A 95% chance youll fuck something up. Dont wander in blindly into the world of fitness and weight loss. You can seriously hurt yourself. Knowledge is power
>>
>>35155035
>>35155037
very likely

I'm under no illusions about the ordeal I'm going to go through. And the skin thing honestly doesn't bother me. I already don't take my shirt off at the pool.

but I want a certain job and you have to have certain physical attributes for it. So I'm going to go for it. Even if you don't believe me.
>>
>>35155085
i don't believe you. but what i believe hardly matters. read the fucking sticky, get the fuck out.

Pic related.

There are tons of fat cops out there. Being a cop nowadays isnt any special
>>
>>35155071
Dude, healthy life changes over time, honestly, do some kind if exercise for a while, when you stop losing weight from that, then start dieting, good luck bro
>>
>>35155071
>>35155085
Did you know organs fail if you lose weight irresponsibly? Its true!
>>
>>35155085
no one believes in you its the fucking internet. theres no definite proof that you are actually obese.

all and all your post sounds like an excuse to lose weight, which you should because if this is real, your a fat fuck.

Don't listen to other posts about 2lbs a week etc, because that only applies to people with normal weight. For the extreme's like yourself, once you start eating regular meals and doing fork putdowns you'll be on the right track.

we're all going to make it
>>
>>35155147
>we're all going to make it
You know that's not true brah
>>
>>35155137
yeah except lardo isn't going to lock himself in a room and starve himself until his organs fail. fuck i'd be surprised if his idea of 'starving himself' didn't somehow include raw cookie dough an diet dr pepper

Eat cotton balls with sriracha, like super models do. Lose 5lbs per week
>>
>>35155152
fuck off. zyzz didn't say that for fatties who look for excuses to give up before even trying. he said it for those aspiring sick cunts who have put in actual sweat and tears to start getting where they want to get to
>>
>>35155079
bad choice of words. Don't worry I'll do the research

>>35155147
thanks, i think. Extremes like me will probably do 4 pounds a week for a couple of months and then under 2 for the rest. I'll average it out

>>35155154
you ever had diet dr pepper? possibly the worst drink I've ever had
>>
>>35155181
i imagine it would be right up there on the list of your worst drinks along with "water" right? good luck buddy
