I actually work at a rape crisis center, OP. I don't work with perpetrators so I can't really advise you on how you can work on yourself here. But I will say if you want to have any hope of having this individual in your life you need to let her express or not express her feelings towards you in whatever way is best for her.

The other thing I noticed is that you said something along the lines of, "I needed alcohol to have the balls to have sex with her"... Really there is your problem. Alcohol should not be the only reason two people are able to have sex with each other. Part of having sex is having a conversation about both people wanting it. It doesn't sound like you were really able to do that so you invited alcohol into equation and really set yourself up to get into trouble.

Technically you were too drunk to consent as well, but because you penetrated her, it would more likely see the act that you did to her more physical and you would probably be the perpetrator. But you don't seem concerned about possible legal consequences from this girl. Also 90% of perpetrators don't spend a day in jail because innocent until proven guilty (sexual assault is difficult to prove , even with evidence of DNA, because perpetrator can say it was consensual when it wasn't, and difficult to prove it wasn't consensual) so don't let /fit/ freak you out.

If your main goal is to make amends, take responsibility. Own the pain you might have caused her. Don't fucking start stalking her by texting her, messaging her, following her. If you raped her, you are her rapist. There's a lesson to be learned about yourself here.

OP here, just rewatched the "Always Be Closing" scene from Glengarry Glen Ross. If you haven't seen it, go watch it. I think I've finally reached a point where I can begin the process of moving on.
