>Cardio talk
Is cardio essential to end up lean when cutting?
cutting is all diet
cardio can help, but is by no means necessary
cardio is the simplest way to raise your TDEE
higher TDEE => more food => faster metabolism => faster recovery/healing
higher TDEE => same deficit is less of your total food => easier cutting
2000 kcal TDEE w/500 kcal deficit => 25% reduction in food
3000 kcal TDEE w/500 kcal deficit => 17% reduction in food
only way cardio sucks is if you don't eat
huge deficits from cardio alone is fucking insanity

If I wanted to cut effectively I'd just look at your arms

Look who learned a new joke from the humor thread.
cardio makes me hungry as fuck, so I tend to avoid it on aggressive diets.
There was a couple big threads over here about some studies showing that cardio actually doesn't help with weight loss unless you do a shit ton of it. Don't remember the end conclusion, but I do know that cardio is fucking boring and doesn't burn that many calories.
HIIT for fat loss, cardio for cardiovascular health.

>HIIT
I want to add HIIT to my routine again but I'm doing 6 days a week and although I plan to finish my workouts with a 20 min HIIT session, 9 times out of 10 I just say "fuck it." Wish I could stop being lazy.

Cardio is for faggots.

Cardio doesn't do anything that resistance training doesn't do better. It's pretty much the only thing I've encountered in my life that I've gotten better at while not actively practicing it regularly.
If you have time to burn, go for it, otherwise just skip it.
